Hostel was situated at the bottom of a very steep hill and with the only things worth going to being 15 mins up the hill, it was a bit of acstruggle to motivate yourself to do so. Room was as small as a prison cell if not smaller and the aircon/fan was useless

I had a great time at Hostel Aki! A social place when need be, but also places to find quiet. Staff was really helpful, one even helped me fix a fan at 11:30 at night. That's dedication. The owner even took the time to show me around town and talk about his business.

STAFF WAS AMAZING, helped with particular shopping need, getting bus ticket without a Brazil #, finding people to join for music fest! Rooms were tight but the temp was reasonable. Kitchen seemed incomplete but most people got food from the resturant. Showers good. Wifi up and down and had a few different confusing names but worked fast and well enough for a hostel. The hill outside was a beast, staff called me a taxi when I left with my bags, well worth it.

Really enjoyed our stay at Aki. Not a party hostel so sleep is not an issue. The guy and the girl at the desk are very helpful and will let you know where to go and what to do in São Paulo. The only downside is the huge hill you have to walk up every time you want to go out! You can get breakfast for $10 reais every morning and it's pretty good for the price you are paying!

No internet in the rooms Only area that works well it is at the lobby . restaurant's menu too short and pure junk ( a more variety would sell more and reach more people ) also charging areas are pain in the ass (only a few and very displaced ) besides that it is okay :)

In 8 months of traveling this is one of the best hostels I've stayed in.The moment you walk in your made to feel at home. The owners John and Kadhine take the time to get to know you as well as the other staff working there. The hostel is new and modern, so nice that you almost want to hang out there all day! As mentioned in some other reviews the hostel is at the bottom of a big hill but it isn't that bad and let's be honest we could all do with a little extra exercise when we are travelling!!

Good clean hostel with nice spaces to hang out in, and a great little kitchen. At the bottom of a steep hill but location ideal otherwise. Could offer more in terms of tours and things to do in São Paulo.

It's very nice hostel with nice people and staff. However the way to the subway station is a really high hill, it's very hard to climb, it will feel like hiking. But about the hostel, well, you gotta love it!!

The only problem about this hostel is that you have to walk up in a big hill to access the metro. For everything else, it's a great place to stay.

Very secure premises with a modern feel. However it needs utensils in the kitchen to cook with! There were no chef knives for cutting meat, no wooden spoons or spatulas for frying things in land or pots, very strange? Disappointing as the kitchen is well equip otherwise. Overall we enjoyed our stay, the staff were very helpful. Would recommend.
