The hostel was poor in cleanliness (the room and the bed especially). Although there's air con installed, they only give you fan which makes you sleep in sweat all night. However, the location is excellent. it located really in the middle of the city. You could find entertainment, convenience store and food stall center easily.

Standard Malaysian hostel with a mice common area and a good location, only complaint was the staff weren't particularly helpful or friendly, but for an overnight stay in KK it's ideal.

Best Hostel in the Malaysia..Maybe Asia ?. Stayed 5 Nights & loved every minute.2 min walk from coach/bus stops where I arrived from Brunei.Great Food places & 24 Hour KFC's near by.Direct view of the Old Tower & opposite the hill climb to the observatory.Huge range of drinks & ice creams & Shirts/Bathroom stuff (very cheap, cheaper than anywhere in town, I had 32 Pineapple cans & 25 Ice Creams).Full of backpackers, great lounge with big tv,wifi, hot showers, super clean everywhere,Awesome staff !

VERY unhelpful staff, and dirty commodities. Would not recommend at all, many other possibilities in the same area.

This was a nice hostel; the location is excellent! Extremely close to everything and the staff were very nice when we arrived late. The double room was basic but did the job. Having the A/C shut off at 7am made for a sweaty morning and one of the two toilets on our floor weren't flushing while we were there but that's a relatively easy fix. I think this hostel is great for backpackers and people just looking for a place to sleep at night - for anyone else there are lots of cheap options in KK.

The room was adequate for the price. The toilets frequently went out of order, or did not have any toilet papter, or both. The showers were also very ordinary. The location was good though right on Gaya street, so overall was passable.

Good location, and very secure. A bit unfortunate that a running race was starting across the street early on Sunday morning. Mattress/ bed felt like it had become quite concave in the middle which was a bit uncomfortable. Other than that, everything worked fine.

Not the cleanest place I've ever stayed, but it was convenient in relation to getting to the airport. The staff were really nice and the atmosphere was good making it easy to meet other travellers.

We used this initially as a place to stay before and after the Mt Kinabalu climb. We decided to stay on an extra couple of nights as was conveniently located in town, clean and value for money. Also allowed us to store extra baggage whilst on the climb.

We liked the common area; and it was nice to have the option of noodles at breakfast as well as toast. We were also given discount vouchers for the boat to get to the islands. The rooms are basic and can be a bit noisey at night with the bars/traffic noise. Generally it just felt a bit rundown as the showers occasionally weren't working and the toilet didn't flush properly. We also stayed in Lavender Lodge which was much cleaner but didn't have as much atmosphere. It was ok for a few nights.

I love the layout. Location couldn't be better. Jalan Gaya, & close to Jessilton Point. Staff patient & helpful. I live in 5 bed mixed. It's not roomy compared to others. And they just put the sheet on the mattress instead of changin it. Had to complain. The toilet always has problems in flushing....Always...always....

Nice hostel with a great common area to relax in.They sell the essentials at the hostel - water, ice cream, and some pretty cheap beer (for Malaysia). Rooms were basic but clean and fine. Location is good but the weekend market meant a little noisy at times. it's worth noting that the common area and reception is up a flight of stairs, and your room will be up at least one more flight of stairs (normally not a problem but can be tricky with sore post Mt Kinabalu legs)..

Nice and helpful staff, Great location, just behind the City Hall. This is the cleanest hostal I had ever stayed in. And the price is reasonable and affordable. 10MIN walk to the jetty whitch will take you to the nation park. 5min walk to wisma plaza, you can get a better rate for exchange your money. Sunday Market is just in the front of the hostal, but a bit noisy in Sunday. Overall, nice hostal, will stay there again.

Located 2-4 blocks from the city center, night market and 15 minutes by foot from ferry terminal. Facilities are ok, strong WIFI, a/c dorm was quiet as (most of them) had no street front. Staff -specially the young girl in the afternoon and the 2 ladies in the morning was very helpful, gave good tips and save me money by giving discount car for boat (island hopping). Common are is big and well equipped.
