The service, attitude and respect we were shown by the staff was shocking and absolutely appaling. We received a 45 minute lecture upon arrival, we were patronised and discriminated against the entire time we were there. We were also refused the \'complimentary\' breakfast. Even though this hotel is in a good location, do not stay here. It is not worth the trouble and the staff apparently don\'t want you there. the hostel was a great location, but the old man who is on reception he is a vicious little dog, he attacked us verbally as soon as we entered because i let the door bang on the wall when i entered the room....by accident! He blew his top shouting a screaming at me.....to much headache. My friend who was behind me came in to the hostel and got shouted at again for not clsoing the front door as soon as she came in.
It was intense. Well, I had read the previous comments about the staff and thought it wouldn't be that bad, but it was. We were yelled at as soon as we got in, which wasn't the best start to the trip. Reminded me of a certain Seinfeld episode: 'no soup for you!'. it is a hotel with it\'s own flair (a nice one!). it is small, and so it is kind of familial. the owner really is very nice and we had our fun with him. and yes, we definitely would go there again!! :)it is a hotel with it\'s own flair (a nice one!). it is small, and so it is kind of familial. the owner really is very nice and we had our fun with him. and yes, we definitely would go there again!! :)...Close

The actual hostel is OK. BUT the man is the most horrible man you could ever imagine, he shouted at us within 2 minutes of seeing us because his non-english speaking staff didn\'t tell us to pay on arrival. It was by no means just us, later on we saw him being horrible to a family because they had not received his e-mail that day. This man should put you off staying here - there\'s really good university accomodation elsewhere, check that first!The actual hostel is OK. The owner was delightful, he was so helpful and recommended the best authentic Italian restaurant just down the road. A very charming and cousy hotel, with a venetian style. The owner is very helpful and polite.
