We were picked up at the airport by Alonso in his yellow Land Rover. He took us to the location which turned out to be different than was decribed on website. It turns out to be his house that he recently moved into. It is high in the hills in a residential area, far from activities or taxi. A few blocks down the hill is the best western paradise and a bus line. Okay location if you want to live like a local. This place is more like a B&B. Nice view of san jose from upstairs bedroom window.

This hostel is a joke! The address is wrong! It is not in Alajuela! NOT close to the airport as the address suggests its a hour away (in traffic) NOT a hostel. It is a Homestay in the guys house. If you want that sort of thing great, but we did not and got misled. He finally picked us up and then wasted our whole day running errands while we were in the car. The "FREE" shuttle cost us $20 US as he took us to Zoo Ave, only because his place was too far away to catch a cab. He overcharged us to

Great place if you're looking for a beautiful view and a nice and cozy set up. On the outskirts of town, but one block away from the bus stop. Great staff.

We met our guide Alonso at the airport, just as we had planned. He was very friendly and cooperative. He took us back to the Hostel where we spent the night. The next morning he took us to breakfast and showed us the natural springs across the street. After that he drove us around San Jose and pointed out different buildings of interest. We were free to walk around then and do some shopping if we wanted to. After that he drove us up to the mountains, beautiful! He then drove us to Jaco.

Wonderful door to door service from the airport. The owner was very helpful in taking us to get some wonderful roasted chicken and groceries. I enjoyed having a beer with him and chatting, as well! The property is secluded making us feel very good about the safety of our belongings.
