The room I was in first was really cold, but it was no problem to change rooms and the staff did everything to make me feel more comfortable. The common areas are quite nice but the dorms are pretty bleak, not cozy at all. The kitchen was not very clean. You get a discount on a bike rental, which you should really go for and cycle the Coastal Trail.

On the internet this hostel sounds to be a good deal, and its a nice hostel, I just felt that a fair majority of the other occupants were long-term residents, who had some no so nice friends who hung-about outside. Being a solo female traveler, I didn't feel comfortable ever at this hostel. Plus on my first night, the hostel was VERY noisy, doors constantly banging. On the up-side beds were good, lookers in the rooms were nice, and bathrooms and everyting were clean.

Nice shack! Friendly people and fun place. They even allow you to paint designs over their walls today! :)

A nice place to stay, we were only there over night but all staff were friendly a few minutes walk to downtown.

Great place to stay. It was very secure; The kitchen facilities are very nice. There is lots of room to cook and store food. It can be somewhat loud with doors slamming and people walking around, but usually quiets down. My only complaint is that the showers could be cleaner. The staff cleans the public areas every day; the toilets, sinks, and floors were always clean, but the showers tended to be a little dirty. I would recommend shower shoes. Overall, this is a great place to stay.

Never replied my emails. Reservation didn t work so I had to pay for a taxi to go to another hostel a 1.00am. Really poor organisation, always need to double check. Rooms and bathrooms are clean but kitchen is disgusting. Apparently, this is the best hostel in Anchorage... well stay in a hotel. Or don t stay in Anchorage, anyway there is nothing to do.
