We really liked our stay at Alaska Camp. The rooms were exactly as we expected and the location was really good. Overall it was a good experience. (On a side note, try Ralph's German Bakery at the other end of the beach for breakfast... I almost didn't want to leave just because of that bakery).

Great hotel at an excellent price. Very friendly and helpful staff, I'll definately recomend people to come and stay at Alaska when in Dahab :)

Very well located hostel with a chilled-out, friendly atmosphere that's typical of Dahab. It is situated far enough away from the main strip to offer a quiet night but close enough to be a 3 minute walk to practially anywhere. Offers tours to all the main sights outside Dahab (Sinai, etc) and is generally a good place to relax after a hard day's hiking/diving/doing nothing!
Great location to stay.. just few steps away from the water. Jakie, as being mentioned many times by other reviewers, was great and very helpful!! She really cares about the place and everyone's experience staying there.
Nice Hotel, right in the center of Dahab, but with no access to the beach (different on this point to the others hotels more in the south). Rooms with private bathroom, very quiet courtyard with some pillows, carpets, etc. Even if it is right in the center of the city, our room was not noisy at all.
We stayed at Alaska camp on recommendation from a friend, and it didn't disappoint. The rooms and grounds are simple and beautiful, and the location was a two minute walk from our dive center. Decided to stay on in Dahab, and at Alaska camp, for another five days because it's all so perfect.
love this place. next time i wll stay there surely. there is only one problem - there is no wifi in the rooms, only in lobby. recomend...
Very happy with Alaska Camp. Staff were helpful and friendly, got to know some of them well while sitting around the outside fire, smoking shisha and drinking tea, all of which they kindly provided! The rooms were great, we stayed in a three bedroom private (worth noting however that it was a double and a single, which was inconvenient.) Would highly recommend it, especially at this price, they also rent snorkel gear at just 10le a day, and the trip to the Coloured Canyon was a highlight.
Stayed at Alaska in Dec. 2010. 2nd time in Dahab (1st for my gf). Had a double room with a private bathroom which cost only about 12 Euros per night for both of us. Very satisfied. Our room reminded me of a simple North American hotel room with basic furniture (incl. a nice, firm bed), crisp sheets, and simple tile floors (a nice change, since Egyptians love their carpets). Staff was friendly and relaxed. Set up a Blue Hole visit for 70EGP, and also picked up our bus tickets for us for 10EGP. I stayed at
Three of stayed in a triple room, it was clean and had great air-con & fan for a reasonable price which was all we needed. though the aircon could get really cold sometimes but at least it could be adjusted! Located off the main strip of restaurants and shops. we got a 20% discount for restaurant called Yalla bar which has good food for cheap prices and good happy hour deals! one of the staff members was so helpful when we needed to ask about bus transfers and travelling to Israel. Good hostel!
Facilities were nice and clean. The guys at the restaurant connected to them down the road were very friendly. Now all they need is a pool...
Very good hotel right on the sea front, Yalla bar was a bonus to relax even more.
We really thought this was the best place we stayed in Egypt, great staff, they were so helpful. Room was just what we needed and nothing more, but we were totally satisfied. Dahab was awesome, a little more touristy than expected but still really chill and a lot of fun.
I would defo recomment this place. Have stayed in a few in Dahab and I reckon this is the best. It's really clean, staff helpful and yet remains a chilled out place and is just on the bridge between both areas so a great location.
pros: located in the middle of the \"crescent\" of Assalah. close to many restaurants and has an arrangement with Yalla! Bar to give 20% off on food. staff arranges trips and cabs. cons: WiFi wasn\'t working well, but that\'s really a problem with the provider, as the rest of the city also had problems. and there\'s no daily turndown/maid service, but it wasn\'t really necessary either. tip: get a second floor room with balcony if you like to open your windows and/or you like natural lighting in
