Great hostel, on 35 minutes easy walk from the Glasgow centre. Well looked after with helpful and friendly staff to come forward guest's needs. Another big plus is a large back of the house parking for those coming by car. Many thanks for hosting me.

The bathrooms were very dirty with hair stuck in all the showers drains and on the floor. The rooms reeked of cigarette smoke which was very unpleasant as it was too cold to leave the windows open to air the room out! Kitchen in basement was clean but in the morning was full of dirty counters and dirty dishes from the night before. Did not look or smell very nice. The owner was there to meet us and was very abrupt and asked for money before anything else....not very polite.

Beware that you will face an extra charge if you pay by debit card although it does not state this on the booking.

If you miss the last train from city center a taxi is £15 to the hostel. The front desk said it was only 10. They good news is it is only a 2 minute walk to the Anniesland station.

Very peaceful place, quietness is their leitmotiv. Nice and serious staff. However, if you're looking for a crowded and festive hostel, you're on the wrong track. Close to transports, a few shops, a library, etc. Was a nice break in my colourful journey. Plus, they're planning on reworking the whole decoration.

Staff were not very welcoming on arrival and actually appeared quite miserable. We were put in a 6 bedroom standard room upon arrival even though we had booked the 8 bedroom en suite. Upon questioning this, we were asked "oh, did you want the en suite, it's room number x". It just all seemed very detached and unprofessional. Dust round the sink in the room showed it had not been cleaned recently. Only positive was a small parking area around the rear or the property and location.

Possibly the best cheap hostel I've ever stayed at. Huge ensuites, clean bathrooms and rooms, fastest wifi in the whole city, located right next to the rail station, and the guests are tame. Staff are supposedly unfriendly? Well I had no problem myself. Hostel is too far away from city centre? Again, not a problem. I stayed out every night and took the N6 bus (which runs until 4-5 am) directly back to the hostel. There's even good food nearby. Overall, just a great value for the money I spent.

It is a great warm and cleanest hostel... Actually I stayed there for 5 days and even though it is not in downtown, it is so convenient to go anywhere you want by subway or buses just outside of the street... really really nice place for the people who want to have a good sleep in the nights...

The place was sub-par. It was a bit further outside of central Glasgow than we thought. The locker we were given didn't have a secure back, so we didn't feel safe leaving our stuff in it. It did have a nice bathroom.

Perfectly adequate for our needs.

Probably one of the worst hostels I've stayed in unfortunately.. Fortunately it was for one night. 1. Run down and very old. 2. Beds would squeak at the slightest movement so no one had a good sleep 3. Hot water worked intermittently throughout the shower 4. Staff could have been more helpful when asked about buses and getting around, they seemed to give little care about its guests.

This was the strangest hostel or place I have ever stayed. It had the strangest vibe and lack of atmosphere I've ever experienced. The staff could be helpful but were usually just disinterested in what you were doing and distant. If you need a quiet clean place to stay it's a good place. But if you want to see the city and meet people, it's not really the best place to stay. It was like being in someone else's house where you aren't allowed to raise your voice and you always have to whisper.

OK location, staff was very desinterested and had no knowledge whatsoever

We booked a 6bed room, but got 8bed room. The stuff explained that there is no difference in their reservation system, so you get what is free not exactly what you reserved. We came at 2PM and had to pay Ł2 for each luggage storage for 2 hours. We wanted to make our own breakfast, but found kitchen so dirty we were afraid to use the equipment. There was water leaking from electric lamp on the ceiling in living room - problem solved with putting the bucket underneath. It is not travelers hostel.
