We had a great stay at Albas place, the host was very friendly and helpful. The hostel is clean, guests have access to the fridge, kettle and toasters. It's about 20-30min walk from the town centre, fortunately we had good weather.

Lovely quiet place to stay in Ushuaia. Lots of thoughtful touches, such as a fridge and equipment left out to make tea and your own snacks. They will also book the bus to the national park for a cheaper price than the public bus.

For my 2nd time in Ushuaia, I stayed at Alba's house and had a wonderful stay. It is a nice home located in a quiet neighborhood, a 20min walk from the center. My room was clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was also nice (bread, jam, coffee, juice). Alba is such a warm person, and she wants to ensure you have a pleasant stay. She'll get you situated, familiarize you with the area, and assist you however she can. She speaks a little English, but we spoke Spanish mostly so I can practice.

We enjoyed a great two night stay at Alba's. We arrived late after a long bus ride Alba provided a map and good advice for local restaurants, shops, tours etc. Bathroom is quite small but clean and adequate for small number of rooms. Breakfast was better than other hostels with toast, yoghurt, cereal and tea/coffee/juice. It is a 20 min walk from the centre of town but it was not too bad. Alba also kept our small bags secure while we were camping in Tierra de Fuego NP. Overall a great stay.

The place isn't bad but it needs a launge. It may be too much to ask for a kitchen.

Alba is a very nice Lady and her Hostal is wonderful. If I ever come back, I´ll stay over her place.

The room was nice, very spacious and clean. She let us store our bag there for 5 days. It wasn't very good value for money though. No facilities, a fair distance from the main strip and the wifi stopped working halfway through our stay (common theme in Argentina). For the price we paid it would have been nice to at least have a microwave.

We were unhappy with this hostel, as we were in a top floor room with no bathroom. As we are both over 60 this was difficult for us, since the first staircase was narrow and twisted, and the second floor staircase was rickety and positively dangerous, with a shaky banister on one side and no rail at all on the other side. The bathroom was a shared one on the floor below, and we were supposed to lock it with a key, but the key was difficult to use.

Alba was very kind and all of her suggestions were great for what we might like to do and how to get there. We really enjoyed our stay in Ushuaia. The accommodations were nice, our room was large and very comfortable. I liked the location as it was in a nice neighbourhood with a great bakery just around the corner and a large Supermarket a couple of blocks away. The walk into the central part of town was along the sea wall....always interesting.
