The most important thing what makes good atmosphere in Alboreda hostel are people who works there. In the beginning smile and advice they give you. If you are interested of the place, staff will help you to show on the city plan all the most important places to visit. You as a visitor don't afraid to ask about simple things you need to do in Barcelona. Worth to ask because you can try things like food or music in better offer than normal tourist. Colours in hostel are live, make You optimistic.

Great hostel! Best location, just 5 mins away from La Rambla. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful, told me best running routs there. For weekend they organize some pre-drinking, so don't expect to go to sleep before 2 am. Otherwise: hostel is located in a peaceful street, easy to find. Possitively suprised, rooms are clean and best value for money which u pay. Sure I recommend it!

Absolutely loved this hostel! My friends and I had an amazing stay here. I saw the cleaning staff clean the floors and bathrooms every morning. Security was excellent. The staff were so fun and really just wanted every to have a good time. The parties that they threw were so fun! They also had perfect recommendations for what to do in the city. Best hostel so far!

Really nice hostel. Clean and comfy. Friendly and helpful staff. BUT.... City taxes not included in the price... They should change that.

The staff was extremely helpful and welcoming. The entrie hostel was consistently being cleaned. there is only one self use washer and dryer and had to wait abouyt half hour to conduct laundry. Two things that did not work for me, there is not a 24 hour lobby to hang out in, it closes at night and you directl have to go the room. also not enough electrical outlets near the beds to charge electronics and keep them safe & near . Location was walkable to just about everything without being bothered

For the basics this place is really good its clean and there are lockers for each bed and there is a breakfast every morning between 8-10am. I had the warmest greeting during the day from staff. Loved that they organised a Sangria Night however the night shift guy completely let it down. Wasn't friendly, helpful and didnt come through with any ice breaker-y/meet and greet sangria night. Overall though i would still reccommend it as a good hostel.

The hostel seemed like it was renovating. There was a lack of professionalism in the check-in area. I would have preferred a desk. I didn't feel very secure, staff members entered our room unannounced. Our door was left wide open one afternoon after it was cleaned. The hot water was broken. The keys were only left unsecured in a plastic bag. Some of the staff was extraordinarily rude and unaccomodatinf. There is NOT free luggage storage. The owner was nice, but the experience was not.
