Had the room in the attic, very good view but the staircase was a bit hard to get up they are spiral. Only stayed one night so don't have a big opinion but the staff were helpful - took a bag up the stairs for us to make things easier

La Perla has an excellent location - at a quiet square and just next to the main square of Siena. Rooms are quiet small but perfectly clean and well furnished. There's no problem if you want to store your luggage before leaving the city. Friendly staff do their best to help you, even with carrying your holdall up the stairs.

Great location, very near the main square and the cathedral. Clean rooms, helpful staff. I rated the atmosphere "average" because the rooms weren´t soundproof at all. Our room was next to the lobby and we could hear LOUD conversations very late into the night and early the next morning, not to mention all the street noise since the windows weren´t soundproof either. If you are a light sleeper, I would choose a different place. But if you´re a heavy sleeper the location is excellent.

It's a shame that there aren't any hostels in Siena, but La Perla is a great hotel and a relatively good value. Very clean, very good wifi, TV, great staff.

Nice place where to stay, welcoming staff (especially the French girl who gave us good adresses for restaurants). But a bit noisy, the walls are thin when people pass by the corridor or talk at 8.30am at the reception...

Directions are a little confusing as its not right n the square its in the street back. If you get lost and don't have a map the info centre in Piazza Del Campo knows where the hotel is! Really nice and clean place to stay and really close to everything there is to see in Florence. Highly recommend.

I stayed a single room, it was cozy and really clean. Most of all, the location of it is perfect, closer to many sightseeing places and bus stops to go to other cities or Siena rail station. Using wifi is possible with the payment of 1 euro for 24 hours.

The private rooms are great value, the view is nice, and this location is central to essentially everything. Though the staff is very helpful, keep in mind that the desk is only staffed during certain hours, so strange arrival times can be problematic. Also, the walls are rather thin, so you can hear just about everything. This feels less like a hostel and more like a small inn, for better or for worse. There is no common area or facility access, but this means the place is rather quiet.
