The albergue is a wonderfully run, clean, authentic place to stay and relax for some time. Incredible deal @ 15 Euro for a small single room. They have free water which is nice, and I love the little kitchen which is kind of like it's own out house I guess, so you can cook food and eat it while looking out over the scenic finca. BUT- it is very tedious to get here without a car! Possible with bus, and I wouldn't discourage, but you should be fit as its walking about .8- 1 KM on dirt road.

Ananot is a rural family hostel in a valley just off Cruz de Pineda. If coming here I strongly recommend coming before dark, with a map, and transport. (Although you can walk 3ks from the beach near a bus stop at El Puertillo.) This place suits surfers, families, groups and travellers because of the secure tranquil premises, and individual rooms. The place and washing facilities is great and of course the friendly staff. They speak little English so the ability to speak Spanish is an advantage.

A wonderful place! It's a bit off the beaten track, in a non touristy area- but that's part of the attraction. Albergue Anatot has built up a beautiful, calm and wholesome space to retreat to, surrounded by nature. They have their own chickens, grow some of their food and bake their own bread. Family owned the father has built everything by hand and you can sense that it is a place build with love and dedication. I highly recommend Albergue Anatot!

I absolutely cherished my stay here. The hostel is remotely located and does require a bus/walk from central Las Palmas, but it is quite quick and cheap. The family that runs the place is tremendous: friendly, warm and welcoming. The hostel, and more so its grounds, are stunningly beautiful and very serene and meditative. I chose this location for 5 days as a converse experience to staying in the heart of Las Palmas and thoroughly enjoyed myself.

The hostel is in a lovely setting - truly beautiful, peaceful and quiet. The food was fantastic. A couple things to keep in mind though: The hostel is down a very rough one-lane dirt road; arrive during the daytime! Meals were €6 for breakfast and €12 for dinner, which is more than what was listed here when we booked. Rooms are not heated. They provide plenty of blankets, so you won't freeze in the night, but if the weather is bad and you just want to sit inside, it's not very comfortable.
