Original albergue-type hostel, chez famille etc, (this means mum may well be in the permanent hammock in the dining area during the daytime etc ...)but in the main alleystreet of Pelhourino...all of Salvador beyound the double-closure entry ... and extremely cheap (off season) .... nice people,breakfast included and use of kitchen, good value by any standards

We only stayed here because they had no minimum stay during carnival, but really enjoyed the place. Brilliant central location.

dont go into a four person dorm if ur going during carnival. you wont get any sleep. bigger dorms are up stairs and away from the kitchen.
