I had a great experience here. The staff know all the great tapas bars/clubs to visit and they actually take you out EACH NIGHT(ask for Herman) to experience the REAL Madrid (not the football team). Also the FREE 4hour walking tour was very good. Pool table. The only reason I rate value for money as poor is because I was over 30 therefore had to pay an extra 14EUReach night, which was a bit annoying. Also they need to clean the clogged showers, as the water never seems to drain quick enough.

I loved my stay at AJ!!! Virginia was amazing and I only wish I had stayed while the event planner was there. Overall, thank you for making my stay in Madrid unforgettable. :)

the building is modern but inside it looks like a cold hostiptal (there isn't heating in the commum area). Staff don't know what they are doing and don't really want to help. Our bathroom (room 7) has a problem, the water goes out all over the bathroom and even in the bedroom and staff didn't do anything for fixing it. for all facilities you have to leave money or a personal document and in the kitchen there is just a microwave oven...

Great location, very helpful staff and very clean. Great hostel if with friends. It's a cry big hostel, but wasn't a huge amount f people to talk to in common areas. Staff and location make up for it. I'll stay there again.

Little bit out of the way but nice and close to the metro so you can get everywhere you want and its a very doable walk into town centre and to attractions. Hostel is really new, so rooms are clean and fresh. It is a little wierdly set up so the common area is actually right out of the way and was quite often empty. Laundry facilities are great and decently priced at 3 euros for a wash n dry. Definitely do the walking tour with Pablo, he is a wealth info, dont get put off by the walk to the tour

Everything went well at this hostel. One improvement would be to install more shared computers (as many of them are out of order) and often occupied. Aside from this, I was really happy to find laundry facilities here.

I really liked it a lot! It was really safe, clean and staff very friendly and helpful. I stayed a whole week cause I arrived to Madrid to make my master. So, I was looking for a place where I could be able to look for flat or smtg. The internet connection is great, I didn't have it in my room though. I f u wanna go out or smug there is plenty of activity. The cleaning lady goes to your room daily I think (so you got a clean room all the time). 110% recommendable

Good points: the staff were very helpful and let me check in early. The hostel was clean and secure. Bad points: this was an expensive hostel which charges an extra 6.85 euros if you are over 26! Therefore, I paid nearly 30 euros for a dorm room including the hostel world fee. I wouldn´t stay there again for this reason. Breakfast wasn´t that great and I would have paid an extra 10 euros for a single room somewhere if the wording on hostelworld about the extra fee was clearer.

A very sterile looking hostel with no common area to be able to meet people so perhaps not the best for solo travelers. The only common area is the internet room (wifi only available in this one room or in a nearby room if you're lucky) and so everyone is just on their computers and doesn't talk. The staff that I dealt with weren't very friendly and didn't really give me much insight into the city. The place is huge, seriously like a maze and everything looks the same. Good cleanliness though.

Hostel was safe, great free wi-fi. Slightly more out of town than we expected. Definitely not enough of a party life. V clean. Staff were very helpful, especially the deliciously cute Carmen!

Great staff, friendly, helpfull. Very clean hostel, activities and walks are arranged and are both fun and enjoyable. Mostly a place for students but going there just for travel is good too as people are still open to talk and go for nights out and very open to stay in touch.

this place is amazing... the staff are lovely, rooms spacious, clean and very comfortable (includes ensuite). facilities include pool table, lounge area with large tv & books, dining and laundry (€3 to wash and dry, includes washing powder), ... location is north of the centre (Sol)... about 10 min walk to Sol, about only few blocks away from Prada store. this place is a must for anyone wanting to enjoy comfort at cheap prices!

Fantastic hostel, the rooms were very modern and kept very clean. The hostel arranges many events every week to help you make the most of your time there (tours, tapas nights, pub crawl etc). The location is fantastic as it is very near three metro stations between which you can go directly to almost anywhere in the city. There was no central point in the hostel where people seemed to meet or interact, however the organised activities made up for that, I wod definitely stay in this hostel again
