Hostel was super clean! Some people say it doesn't have character but what do you expect when you're paying only 18 euros per night? Bathroom, lobby, rooms, halls were super clean! They gave us new white sheets to put on the bed ourselves. Staff very friendly. Breakfast included: Toast, coffee, juice. Wasn't the best but still you get breakfast! Only bad part was that the beds were quite squeaky. It kind of bothered me at night, but overall I think I got more than I paid for. Very satisfied!

Good hostel! Located within a walking distance from the center, clean, secure, very nice and polite staff. Hostel organizes the free tour every morning in Madrid (Cristina you were great :), flamenco show (also quite nice), bar crawls etc.. I would stay again! Simple, but free breakfast

The staff are the reception was great and very helpful. Breakfast was simple but complete (and included in the already "tiny" price). Cleanliness was beyond OK

I had a great experience here. The staff know all the great tapas bars/clubs to visit and they actually take you out EACH NIGHT(ask for Herman) to experience the REAL Madrid (not the football team). Also the FREE 4hour walking tour was very good. Pool table. The only reason I rate value for money as poor is because I was over 30 therefore had to pay an extra 14EUReach night, which was a bit annoying. Also they need to clean the clogged showers, as the water never seems to drain quick enough.

I loved my stay at AJ!!! Virginia was amazing and I only wish I had stayed while the event planner was there. Overall, thank you for making my stay in Madrid unforgettable. :)

the building is modern but inside it looks like a cold hostiptal (there isn't heating in the commum area). Staff don't know what they are doing and don't really want to help. Our bathroom (room 7) has a problem, the water goes out all over the bathroom and even in the bedroom and staff didn't do anything for fixing it. for all facilities you have to leave money or a personal document and in the kitchen there is just a microwave oven...
