The owner Francis is a gem, and he is really what makes this hostel so spectacular. He is so friendly, and very helpful when it comes navigating the city and suggesting things to do (and many places to eat!) which is a huge asset in such a big city. The hostel is decorated with all kinds of random trinkets, maps, even animal skulls, but because it's such a small place it's a bit hard to meet other people. The staff were all really nice, and cleaned the rooms every day.

This is a lovely quirky hostel and good value for money. Location in Miraflores is pretty good but what really sells the place is Francis who runs it - nicest man in the world. We've stayed there twice and would definitely go back. Big thumbs up.

Facilities are bit aged but clean and beds and pillows are very comfortable. Francis is very warm, helpful and informative-take his restaurant suggestions!

Francis, the proprietor, is amazing. He is friendly, helpful, welcoming and generous. He made our experience so much better and we would stay again because of Francis. The location is great for Miraflores. The rooms are average. They are clean for what they are - but on the older side. A maid cleans sheets, towels and the bathroom daily - a big plus. However - some of the bathrooms are dark and carpeted.

The hostel itself is rather old and the rooms need a general refurbishment, but it's clean and it has everything one needs, including private bathrooms, spacious common room, delicious coffee and good wifi everywhere. However, the greatest thing about this place is its owner, Francis, who is amazing! He will make you feel at home and will help you find your way around town. I would definitely stay at Miraflores House again because of him. Never met such a great host before!

We had a very good stay. It was what we needed for the time. The owner was very hospitable and engaging. He made our stay himself. I don't quite understand the value of leaving our keys in the drop box by the door. That gives other people in the hostel access to our rooms. Would rather leave the keys at the front desk or take them with us.

Thanks Francis, the owner of the hostel, who gave us much information about Lima. Such as the suggestions of good restaurants, where to go and not to go, etc. We felt like home! Spacious and clean hostel. Safe and good location which is in Miraflores. The security of the hostel is excellent too!

Very helpful owner who knows all the good places to eat. Location was pretty good. 20 mins to the beach, 30 minute taxi to the historical centre (15 soles). 15 minute walk to the 'gringo central' part of Miraflores. Cable tv in the room which was great, and rooms are cleaned daily. Only downside despite this was the occasional cockroach wandering around. The hostel was quiet despite its location on a major road. Some gym equipment to help with the excess traveling kilos.

Francis and his staff were wonderful. Told us all about Lima, including food and arts. The coffee was rocket-fuel strong, and the croissants were fresh. Near the beach. Recommended!

We enjoyed our stay here, it's more like a hotel then a hostel! The showers arnt the best but the hospitality of the owner Francis and his staff make up for that! The location is great! Francis not only treats you like family, he goes out of his way to make sure you know all the great spots to visit in Lima. We would defiantly stay here again! Cara and Michael from Australia

I loved staying here! The owner, Francis, is a delight. He is thorough in his explanations of Lima and the map he gives you, so comprehensive. This place is safe and secure and in a really nice area, close to most things in Miraflores. I was sick with a stomach "bug" for three days and Francis checked on me and brought me anti-biotic. I hope to go back here again and really experience Lima for a second time. You will not be disappointed. Great Place!!

Francis was the best travel agent in Peru I met, better than any official travel agent, even if his job is to rent out rooms. He knows all the spots in Lima, all Do's and Dont's. You feel safe and know exactly where to go and what to do. We followed all his recommendations in and outside of Lima and they were great. I would definitely stay here again! Disco from Bangkok

We stayed in Miraflores house for one night upon arrival and for three nights when Leaving Peru and it almost felt like coming home again. Francis and his staff are amazing and they even have a tv in each room with loads of movies which was very appreciated after 2 months without tv :) Highly recommended hostel!

The hostel is in a great location - walking distance to many things. The owner Francis was very nice and helpful. We started our trip in Peru at a different hostel & ended it at Miraflores House. We only wish we would have stayed at Miraflores House both times while we were in Lima - the other hostel refused to store a suitcase for me, but thankfully Francis saved me and let me store it at his place even though we werent staying there yet. Safe location, decent room, nice staff, highly recommend

This was my second time staying with Francis at Miraflores House. He is super hospitable and very accomodating for anything you might need. My friend and I were taking a 1:30 am flight and even though we had to check out at noon that day, Francis stored our luggage for us and let us hang out at the hostel and take showers before we left. He knows the area very well and always has great suggestions for restaurants and activities. Love you, Francis!

Really nice place to stay, friendly staff and good position, 15 min walk to Miraflores Malecon, please remember when changing Dollars to Soles, ask for sealed bills by the exchange house, to avoid counterfeits.

Francis and his staff are super nice, helpful and wonderful. The hostel itself is a little on the older side and some rooms have a musty smell, but the staff more than makes up for it. There is also a kitchen that offers fresh water to drink! Breakfast is just coffee/tea and bread, but it's nice that it is included.
