The "Feels like home" slogan it's really true, as soon as we arrived, the owner Francis recieved us being very kind and he is always around to help out with good information about places to visit and also if you want to have a nice chat.. The rooms are ok, really comfy with a reasonable price considering privates.

Incredible welcome and advices from the owner Francis! Very well located in Miraflores next to lots of restaurants and bars. The athmosphere is very nice, the rooms are a bit dark but comfortable and quiet even so it is next to a busy street. Highly recommanded.

This hostel is located in Miraflores, one of the safest neighbourhoods in Lima. It is safe to walk around 24/7. There are plenty of restaurants and (food)shops as well as banks in the area. Take green taxi from the airport to get there. The owner of the hostel is super friendly and helpful. He gave us a lot of useful tips about where to go, what to do, how to get there, where not to go, restaurants etc. Our room was smelly but large with TV and DVD player, fridge. Bathroom was rather small.

Very quirky decorations with an overall good location in Miraflores. The owner is very enthusiastic and helpful -- he will give you a city map that he highlights in all different colors! Not the most social place (we had a private room), but the other people we met seemed nice enough. Also, the free pisco sour every night isn't bad at all.

We had reserved a transfer from the airport for pick up, but they had no record of our reservation when we arrived and we ended up having to pay more for a taxi.

Wasn´t too much happening inside the actual hostel, but the service was great and it was a pleasant stay. One bad thing however was that the floor near the bathroom/shower was in fact rather mouldy.

The hostel ad says "feels like home" and that's exactly how you feel there. Francis is great and really knows his country, giving excelent tips, besides being a great person . It is not the best looking room and I had alergy problems because of the carpet on the first night, but after I talked to him he solved it. I would definitelly stay there again and recomend Miraflores House to anyone who goes to Lima.

Francis is absolutely amazing! My brother and I came to Peru with no plans, only the desire to learn about agriculture in the country. Francis sat us down and negotiated an incredible opportunity in Caral, where my brother was able to work in the fields and I in the schools. He even drove us the 3 hours to Caral! We were the first "white" tourists to stay in this town, and it was truly a memorable experience. Without Francis, we would have been lost. Stay here, you won't regret it!!!!!

Francis was an awesome hostel owner / host. He showed us where to go, suggested what to do, made sure we got taxis for the best rate, etc. He took us to Pucasana for ceviche and a boat ride! He puts his heart into this hostel, and wants all his guests to love his country, so it is a great place to stay in Lima. I would def. stay there again. Good location in Miraflores. Simple, cute & cozy rooms. Breakfast was included- it was simple w/ bread and coffee, tea, etc. I highly recommend this hostel.

The owner is a very hospitable person. He did talk about food way too much. He told us more about restaurants than anything else to do in Lima - a little too much non essential information. However, he is a very very nice guy. The maintenance people don't speak any English so that was a very big problem (if you only speak English) when the owner was not around. He was the only one who spoke English. The location is also quite far from the main center.

This hostel is fabulous! Largely thanks to the staff (Particularly Francis) who are so sweet and helpful... Francis gives you everything you need to know about Lima which is fantastic. Every suggestion we tried was great! Very clean hostel, great breakfast and great location. ALSO booked our bus tickets for the next two trips for us! So super handy. Thanks Francis! :)

w 've been in Miraflores House for 4 nights and we ´ve got a great time. You have everything you need (connections, shops, restaurants, bars...etc.). near by the house. Francisco (the owner) is fantastic. Without his advices, tips, maps, wehad been totaly lost. The rooms are nice, comfortable, clean and the whole staff is very frendly. you realy feel like at home, maybe even better:) Valentina&Luka from Slovenia

An excellent hostel! It's cozy, with a lovely living/dining area, a computer, kitchen, & basic, comfortable rooms. The area of Miraflores is a great & the hostel is a short walk from the Malecon along the coast. The best part was the owner, Francis. He helps every one of his guests with their Peru itineraries, giving advice, recommendations, calling taxis, explaining the city, etc. He even took us to the the coastal town of Pucusana for a boat ride and the best ceviche around! Excellent! A++

Just don't take the room on the ground floor since it's next to the kitchen and the owner's own room

The good points: Hostel has great facilities including a fab common room with large flat screen TV, loads of DVD´s, musical instruments, fully equipped kitchen, free purified water. Frances who owns the place is also a really great guy with lots of useful information and can recommend around a million places in Lima to eat. . The not so good point would be that you put your key in a box upon exit that you can acces all other keys but to access the hostel is through a secure locked gate.
