Great place to stay. Very nicely decorated common areas, good breakfast, very helpful tips from the staff. Easily accessible by public transport from airport as well as bus terminal

Had a great stay for two nights. Breakfast was good, beds were fine, no real issue. Would stay there again!

Great place with great staff. I'd definitely stay there again.

Nice hostel, in a fairly good location, close to the beach. Lots of communal area space and the breakfast was good.

Priates Da Praia is surprisingly good for a hostel in Brazil - great atmosphere. It is considerably cheaper (66BRL compared to +100BRL) than many of the other top rated hostels around Brazil in Natal and Fortaleza. I thought the execution was very well done, there is a great atmosphere there. The crowd is a mix of South Americans and westerns which added to the atmosphere and vibe of the hostel. Definately give the lunch (14BRL) that they offer a try, surprisingly the best meal I had in Brazil.

A very nice hostel with helpful staff. Just 2 minutes from the beautiful beach. Good breakfast!

Great atmosphere.. very friendly.. best breakfast Ever !!

Arrived in Recife our first time in South America and were welcomed by these guys with open arms. Gabrielle was a top guy who helped us with the millions of questions we had and plenty of support with doing it! Oskar gave us some vital advice about places to travel and stay saving us a fortune! Some great advice about Argentina too! Big thanks to these guys! Hopefully our paths will cross one day again :)

Very interesting to have a hostel on the 3rd floor of a building, but it worked out very well. Friendly staff with good facilities made it enjoyable for the weekend. Would stay there again!

Was a great stay! A Bit far away from Olinda if you want to vist there!

This is a great hostel to stay in Recife. It's close to beach but slightly out of town centre which is fine. The rooms were always clean and the staff were very friendly. Most of the staff could not speak great English but they did their best to give me information & make sure my stay was enjoyable. The breakfast is awesome and it's easy to meet other travelers. There's a lot of things to do in Recife and surrounding locations & I would recommend staying at Albergue Piratas da Praia Hostel.

This is a very good hostel with good staff and a great vibe. It is a bus ride to most of the sights of Recife, except the beach which is only one block away from the hostel. It is never-the-less very easy to catch the busses. Staff very helpful and they even organized a hostel block party through the streets of Olinda for Carnival.... Well done guys... Good breakfasts.

This hostel is exactly how you would want your home to be. They thought about the details that do make a difference in your stay ! The breakfeast is awesome and it s very clean since they seem to be 10 working there at the same time cleaning the place ! The decoration/accessories are awesome and the division of the different rroms really wel thought. The location is perfect if you want to go to the centro historico and to the beach.

dirty place. only one guy spoke english in a good way. there is a family living in this hostel, so you couldn't use the kitchen when you want (because they were cooking 3x a day). bad atmosphere - just the air condition was really good!

One guy from the reception wasn't that friendly and that is the reason that we knew at our last evening what we could do in Recife. Just sad.

Very nice staff. The owner is a lovely person, with lots of ideas to make this hostel even more individual and fancy as it already is! Breakfast was fine, but without bread whatsoever. Great idea: free fruits, coffee and tea all day! :)

Very Nice hostel but Just one speaks English and recife is quite horrible!!

The hostel was very clean and safe. Location is great, few blocks from the beach. The room I stayed should be 8 bed but actually it was the access to other two rooms, so in total there were 14 people accessing it. It was fun due to magico's help bringing us to the party! Recommend it!!

breakfast very poor, with difficult refilling and avarege services for the money paid compared to other hostel in the north east of brasil
