This is a great hostel to stay in Recife. It's close to beach but slightly out of town centre which is fine. The rooms were always clean and the staff were very friendly. Most of the staff could not speak great English but they did their best to give me information & make sure my stay was enjoyable. The breakfast is awesome and it's easy to meet other travelers. There's a lot of things to do in Recife and surrounding locations & I would recommend staying at Albergue Piratas da Praia Hostel.

This is a very good hostel with good staff and a great vibe. It is a bus ride to most of the sights of Recife, except the beach which is only one block away from the hostel. It is never-the-less very easy to catch the busses. Staff very helpful and they even organized a hostel block party through the streets of Olinda for Carnival.... Well done guys... Good breakfasts.

This hostel is exactly how you would want your home to be. They thought about the details that do make a difference in your stay ! The breakfeast is awesome and it s very clean since they seem to be 10 working there at the same time cleaning the place ! The decoration/accessories are awesome and the division of the different rroms really wel thought. The location is perfect if you want to go to the centro historico and to the beach.

dirty place. only one guy spoke english in a good way. there is a family living in this hostel, so you couldn't use the kitchen when you want (because they were cooking 3x a day). bad atmosphere - just the air condition was really good!

One guy from the reception wasn't that friendly and that is the reason that we knew at our last evening what we could do in Recife. Just sad.

Very nice staff. The owner is a lovely person, with lots of ideas to make this hostel even more individual and fancy as it already is! Breakfast was fine, but without bread whatsoever. Great idea: free fruits, coffee and tea all day! :)

The hostel was very clean and safe. Location is great, few blocks from the beach. The room I stayed should be 8 bed but actually it was the access to other two rooms, so in total there were 14 people accessing it. It was fun due to magico's help bringing us to the party! Recommend it!!

breakfast very poor, with difficult refilling and avarege services for the money paid compared to other hostel in the north east of brasil

The hostel was clean and safe. Breakfast was good. Wifi was good quality. I only stayed one night and arrived late and left early, so I didn't really experience everything the hostel had to offer. The only slightly negative thing I would say is that on here it says towels are included, but on arrival the hostel wanted to charge to borrow a towel. However when I pointed out that the website said it was included they did give me the towel for free.

Everything at Piratas da Praia is run professionaly and the hostel is very clean. Cosy and relaxed atmosphere. Nice staff. The hostel is very quiet and you get a good nights sleep. Met alot of great people there and the staff always pointed us in the right direction for a cool party. The beach is very close to the hostel. Also within close range are lots of ATMs, a big supermarket and a bus stop is just round the corner. You can go to the center of Recife in 15 min. I had a great stay!

+ location is great, hostel is charming. - atmosphere is quite. Great if you need to get up early - rather expensive - someone has stolen money from our locker. Key was in a pants on the bed. We only have suspicions no evidence on who it was. Watch your keys people! Other than that the hostel is in a safe area and well protected with camera in the halls

Most staff were very friendly & helpful but JOAO (also known as ROMEO) was exceptionally friendly and helpful to me & all the other guests I saw him interact with. The owner, Paolo, visits most days & is equally helpful & friendly and is always ready to deal with any problem or suggestion. Hostel has lots of character & facilities & is in a very safe area, just 3 mins´walk to the sea/promenade. Many shops are nearby & you can easily get buses to anywhere. You get big lockers & A/C (night only).

This place is tiny, entire hostel is about the size of my last apartment. The staff is weird cause I had few problems with them. Only one person speaks English and constantly gives mis-information on pretty much everything I had a question about. Eventually I just gave up asking any questions and decided to find out what ever I needed to know on my own. The cook is wonderful, she is a really nice lady who makes a large breakfast everyday and some days a big lunch you can purchase for a few R
