The hostel is under construction, so only the front looks nice and when you walk to the back it looks like you're somewhere in constructions. The stay was good, definitely for people that look for easy and peace.

I stayed here for one night, great location and decent facilities. Fans in rooms were really loud, so bring earplugs! Otherwise, the location and the hostel are pretty worth it. Plus I got a towel free, I can never say no to a free towel!

The location, staff and cleaness is fantastic, however the facilites are a shame. That makes this hostel more expensise than the ones in Europe or Japan. Being in a room with other 7 people with no cross ventilation and 2 noyse fans are embarrasing and a shame. That is unhealthy. This hostel needs to have a laundry. the northeast of Brazil is hot and we have to wash and dry the clothe everyday. Please readress your facilities, the price you are charging is more than in others in the world.

I put lower than average for value for money because of the high World Cup prices. But, truthfully, it's the same everywhere in Brazil.

The staff could be more smily and one of the night staff should be less aggressive. The breakfast was very basic, no fruits, no juice, although there was a fried egg. The good thing is that they spread the people among the various dorms, so the dorms don't get too crowded.

Had a pleasant stay in sitio do Carmo. Seconds away from Olinda's main plaza. Atmosphere was a little bit dissapointing, There was nobody except me and 2 brazilians. Staff doesn't speak english but is helpful if you can speak portuguese

No breakfast

I enjoyed this hostel. Location, staff, and facilities are very good. However, I was looking to meet more people and this hostel seemed to have more families traveling... May have just been the time of year I was there.

Very relaxing and well equipped hostel. Staff very friendly and helpful (though English is not spoken).

The owners are great and really make the place fantastic place to stay. Very knowledgeable on the area and can provide information on anything you're interested in. The also organize transfers to Jeri direct from the hostel for the same price as getting the bus from the station. Good breakfast and very clean. The 3-person female dorm is very hot though, as it has no external windows and a small fan.

- Breakfast was a bit minimalistic, with a little bit more you could get 2pnts more (fruits, some jam, scrambeled egg portion was really small) - one staff drove us to the rodoviaria for a good price during carnaval, that was reeeeeally nice (but he usually doesnt work there) -

Nice hostel! Great showers, good breakfast, friendly staff and a good location in a safe neighborhood and very close to the center and close to bus stops to Recife. Internet connection was quite bad though.

Very friendly owner. Very close to olinda. No internet !!

You need to provide mosquito nets with the beds.

Loved this place, wished we stayed longer! Central & really clean. Good breakfast.. A little hot in the rooms even with the fan

An alright hostel but nothing special. Dorm rooms are spacious with good fans. Very clean and good guest kitchen area for independent food preparation. If you don't speak Portuguese there is only one staff member who speaks English which may be a problem especially because that person is new and doesn't know the area well. We had to ask to lock our dorm door and keys were often just left on the reception table. Conveniently located for Olinda.

Sitio do Carmo is a really easy hostel to be in. It's very chilled, very clean, very friendly. The rooms are neat and relatively spacious with lockers for every guest. The breakfast is fine - nothing spectacular, but all good. And in this heat, the swimming pool is PERFECT for afternoon dunking! It's well situated with a short walk through the safe park (next to the always-manned tourist police station) getting you to every attraction in Olinda easily. It's also really close to the main bus stop
