The Hostel itself was great, everything you need from a good hostel.
However, the staff are extremly dodgy when it comes to booking you a pantanal tour. they will say anything to get you to sign and pay. They will promise transfers and then make you pay more, promise you a certain type of room which you dont get once you are in the Pantanal etc.
That said however the Pantanal farm they use is great and i get the impression they are pissed off at the \"sales tactices\" of the hostelThe Hostel itself was great, everything you need from a good hostel.

The hostel makes false promises Ecological Expeditions, in farm Santa Clara: There is no electricity at night; The ratio between guides and tourists is worse than promised. They hardly describe relations between animals and the environment; At night, no English speaking guide was available in the living area; They promised free drinking water. The only tap with potable water was outside and did not work at nite; After payment was made, they asked for more money. Find better deals @ bus station. The hostel makes false promises Ecological Expeditions, in farm Santa Clara: There is no electricity at night; The ratio between guides and tourists is worse than promised. Fine hostel, only stayed there on our way to Bolivia. Not much in Campo Grande itself, but the hostel organises good tours to the Pantanal. There is also a partner hostel in Corumba that is not on Hostel World, but is fantastic for helping to sort out tickets from Quijarro to Santa Cruz. This hostel didn´t seem to have much personality to it, but it was an easy stop-over before going on a Pantanal tour (which was well organised by the hostel)and the staff were very helpful and friendly.
