I left some money on my bed by mistake during the day and found it untouched. The place was amazingly clean

A very quiet place when I was there. A laid-back neighborhood, outside the tourist flow but easily accessible to everything by subway. If looking for a loud party hostel, look elsewhere, but for a place where you can just be human and venture out, this is excellent. Breakfast is minimal so I'd suggest you take advantage of their coffee in the morning then venture out. But that's a very slight quibble. I'd definitely stay there again. (Note: this is from an older guy.)

I had a great stay in Alberquinn, staff friendly always there to help. Rooms and bathrooms very clean, breakfast just what you need to keep you going till lunch. I loke to keep myself busy over the day and then rest in the evening and this hostel was just perfect. Location approx 15 min by walk to Placa Espana, 5 min to train statiom and 5 min too tube. I chose hostel which is a bit further away from touristy places as it gives you chance to explore places which you wouldn't normally go to.

All the rooms were clean (bathrooms and beds) and the staff was very helpfull. The kitchen had everything you want and there was a good internet connection. When we went every evening before the dinner the staff prepare a different kind of drink for all the people.....it was very nice!

Only one hot plate to cook with in the kitchen was a bit of a let down, but it was a damn good hot plate! What an odd thing to notice... The place was clean, obviously cheap and minimalistic, but nice. Very small and almost communal type of hostel - by the end of my stay everyone knew everyone, pretty much. To get to anthing of interest you really did have to take the metro everywhere, but the hostel told you what was on in the area every night, and had great food recommendations.

Alberguinn is a nice hostel. It is a nice location, right next to the train station, and only a short subway ride to all the major sites. The check in staff are very friendly and there is a great atmosphere. There are dorm style bathrooms and showers which I did not like so much. Also, there is lockout from 11AM to 2PM so they can clean which I did not appreciate. Breakfast was average. But as a whole it was a nice place to stay.

From the moment we arrived, we knew it would be great. The location was PERFECT! A quick walk to lots of popular places, but just off the main street on a quiet street that we loved. Will definitely stay here again in Madrid!

A great hostel. Cheap and central location and very nice staff. We stayed in a 12 bed dorm room and it was very nice and clean. The breakfast which was included in the price was good and we didn't even have to do the dishes ourselves afterwards Also in the room each bed had a large locker so it was easy to keep the valuables safe. That the check out time was before 11 am instead of 10 am as is usual was also a bonus. I recommend this hostel. It was the best hostel I've stayed at for this price

It was great! Just a couple of minutes on the metro from the city centre. It was clean and felt safe. The staff are really friendly and the lounge comfy with lots of facilities. While you're in Barcelona I definately suggest doing a free walking tour, it was the best way to learn about the city!

I had a very pleasant stay here. The location was near the Sants bus station and metro and was perfect for me and it is very accessible to all the other major attractions by metro. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only difficulty i had was the description of the location of this hostel was a bit unclear for me, so it was a bit difficult to find the place for the first time

Simple, but nice place. Good value for money. The staff was very helpful and accomodating. Very calm (but off season, mind you). Although it was a bit far from main attractions, I really liked the area. It's calm, rather secure and gives you a taste of real Spanish daily life away from the tourist crowd. Very close to the Sants train station, which was helpful for me. Easy access to main attractions by public transport.

Not the best location, but it's outside of the tourist-infested area so that might be plus point. Also near to the train/coach station so that makes up for it. The shower is great, rooms are huge and beds are probably the best and the most comfortable! I like the free internet and free computers!

Though most parts of this hostel are quite good, it's very noisy around it. If you want to have a good rest, i really don't recommend it.
