Location is not bad (no more than 20 - 25 minute walk to city center). The area is quite dead (at least the week we were there). Gare du Nord is only about 8 minutes walk and you can take trains from there to Brugge, Ghent, among other destinations. We were 3 people and got a very spacious and clean room with space for at least one more bed. Toilets really good. From our experience, the worse: staff (lack of customer service). Don't take the breakfast there, go to town and take it there.

Kitchen is not accessible except the microwave and the frige. It really depends on who you encounter in terms of the staff. they are very different from one to another. Some are extremely nice but some are just mean. Don't expect too much from here and keep in mind that you get what you paid for.

We were disappointed about our room allocation during the first night (room 5) but then we were moved and has a wonderful stay.

The hostel was very confortable, there is some facilities near, about 100m. But we thought the price of the breakfast little expensive. otherwise, the price of the rooms was pretty good. We recommend this hostel!

I was pleasantly surprised, because it was one of the cheapest accmmodation that we found and very close to centre. For us, it was good, we only needed a place to sleep and to take a shower. We stayed in the 5-person room and we had everything we needed, staff was friendly and the wifi worked in out case. There is also a breakfast room with a lot of utilities. It is very close to the North Railway Station, which for us was important. I recommend it if you want a cheap and decent place.

Was not able to bring a guest to my room. The power went out in my room during our stay. The lifts are sketchy and my keycard did not work the first 2 times.

The woman behind the desk for checking in didn't even look up from her desk to say hello. When we asked at 13:30 if we could already check-in she said no and we had to wait for half an hour until it became really busy at the reception about 13:50. She'd waited too long and the queue had grown, so she had to help us at that point. The room was very dark and fusty. I was happy we were there just for one night to be honest.
