Nice hostel, have a number of reasonably priced drinks that are very convenient, though a supermarket close by. Staff are very helpful with a good level of English. To get to most places via the nearby tube station you need to transfer to a different line
Alborada is located near Xisi station which makes it easy to get around using the subway from there. The location of the hostel itself can be a little confusing and our taxi driver had some trouble finding it. It's down an alley marked with a red and white sign that says Hostel. I wish it said Alborada Hostel to make it a bit easier to find. The staff, especially the lady, are very helpful and friendly. The rooms are small but clean and a good value.

The hostel staff were friendly and accommodating, there are a lot of maps, handbooks and tour options available in the hall, and the rooms were cleaned and looked Minus: the washing sinks are in the common halls near the showers and toilets, so little privacy
Good if you want somewhere inexpensive within easy reach by metro of the sights of Beijing. The room we stayed in was fine (although ended up walking through a curtain to get in at night) and the toilet and shower facilities served their purpose (would be good to have more than 2 wash sinks for the whole hostel). The staff are friendly, but not fantastic at English so be prepared for occasional confusion. The tour to the Great Wall we booked through the hostel was great with no problems.
