Very very cozy hostel,helpful staff and although is not very central,has a very good location, with nice options of things to do around.

This hostel is super easy to get to, especially from Schonenfeld airport - right near busy U-bahn and S-bahn stations and in a lovely area. There is a supermarket and plenty of cafes nearby as well. The staff were excellent - really friendly and helpful. When I stayed there it was quite quiet but they still made a great effort to make me feel welcome. They had free internet that actually reached the floor I was on and free computer use as well. Overall a great place to stay, I loved it.

Very good hostel, good location and staff are very friendly and helpful as to what Berlin has to offer. Also has a kitchen which is good if you're on a budget! Would stay here again :)

Alcatraz had a good central location and the 'little extra' facilities such as free internet and table football were appreciated. The staff in particular were very friendly and helpful.

Really friendly staff, location good, clean and cheap!

The location was good, very close to train stations, staff was very friendly, however the breakfast and common area was rather poor, wouldn`t recommend singler travellers to stay there if they want to meet new people. However, was a really nice stay and i would definitely stay there again.

I thoroughly have enjoyed my stay at Alcatraz. We were offered coffee at arrival and the room was clean and warm during the winter, what else would you need from a hostel? The staff is friendly, patient when i couldn't find the number of my creditcard, and helpful when I asked where I could park for free within the area. It's pretty easy to find, although I used to be a local within that area. It's also near the u-bahn and Prenzlauer Berg offers a variety of cheap, delicious cuisines.

It's a nice hostel for those who want to party. Really noisy hostel, specially when people come back from the parties. If you want to sleep to wake up early thats not the hostel. But if you want have fun at night thats the perfect place! In general it's a very nice hostel. Clean, good rooms and beds, nice bathrooms.

We stayed for 4 nights and would have appreciated the room being cleaned and the sheets changed at least once.

The only thing worth any amount of money was my desire to make the staff feel appreciated. I can and did end up taking my money elsewhere.

Decent hostel for the price. Nothing spectacular, but nothing terrible. Internet was wonky at times, but had worse at other places.

Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful (their English was very good). Danke schön!

Great hostel! Liked the art on the walls and the chill out room to meet other travellers. Fully equiped kitchen with a supermarket no more than a minute walk away. Some staff were super helpful, others a lot less personalable. The only downfall was that it was A bit far away from the centre.

exellent location. there was missing a reafing lamp by the bed!!!! Often not able to use the internetterminals because they were used by older east european, who was searching for cars. There was NO hostel atmosphere because the easteuropeans used the hostel as a boarding house.

The staff were very friendly and helped us find the best places in the city to visit. I would stay there again.
