We really enjoyed this hostel - Alberto is a character who takes a personal interest in your stay and is a great source of local info. We had a room with a balcony which afforded us an incredible view. It\'s quiet, clean and well located. We had delightful stay in historical house (i.e., old with small rooms). Alberto, the proprietor, was exceptionally helpful, friendly and fluent in English. Thanks to him we received insights into Valpo and Chilean society, as well as valuable tourist tips. The inn's amenities are as described; do not expect frills or a big breakfast. Location on Cerro Concepcion is excellent and easy to get to. We didn't have security problems.
