Alegria's always has helpful, friendly staff who are willing to take time to call taxis and tell you about sights to see. The hostel facilities are charming, and it's located on a quiet street within walking distance of the best museums and restaurants.
Nothing special about this hostel. The ten person dorm had some loud guests but that can't be blamed on the hostel.
Algeria's Hostel has made my trip to Bogota a wonderful place to remember, the staff are wonderful people where i got to learn the culture and the places in Bogota.

Great people, great vibe, nice location, clean and comfortable. Loved it!
Overall the hostel is nice, especially the patio. It is located in la candelaria but a few minutes walking from the center, watch out as the streets get really empty and a bit scary at night. The beds are a bit saggy and the rooms can get really cold during the night. Breakfast is just bread, some jam and a fruit smoothie which is not really tasty. Bring cash to pay because they do not accept credit cards altough it says so on the website.
Nice little place, not too busy. The lockers were a bit small and the wifi was pretty slow though.
One of my favorite in South America! Feels like home as soon as you walk in.
The big dorm was a bit too small but the other rooms seemed to be really nice. Too few bathrooms - long waiting times... But really good breakfast(bread from the French bakery and jugo naturales) what was included. Nice staff and for the price it was okay
