The house being in a residential area was a bit off, far away from the village centre. and leaving your stuff without a locker is to me always a bit of downside. It also smelled a bit like dog because the owner has a dog. But apart form these things Sergio has a nice hostel. He does his best to create a nice atomsphere. Met some friendly travellers.
when you book you never know how many beds are in the house, which room you get and with how many beds. there are 2 bathrooms for ...? ???? people. when I was there one of them was broken. A dog lives there. One of the bedroom is in the attic and is reached by a ladder unsafe. You never have the key of the house or of the bedroom and the main door of the house is always open and not always somebody is there.

Great place for Surfers, good breakfast and friendly staff.
It's a hostel experience that i considered very positive. Good value for money indeed. Nice clean rooms, comfortable beds, clean bathrooms. Great common areas - specially the nice patio in the back. The staff is the best, from Sérgio - the owner - to the rest of the crew! The night we arrived, we still didn't had dinner and he offered us a home cooked meal - quite good by the way and some wine on the house. Good breakfast as well. Recommend!!
