Very close to the city centre. When I arrived there was nobody there, I had to make a call and wait a little. Wifi is working slowly in the basement where there are some rooms. Breakfast is ok.

Breakfast was great, however, if you want sleep don't stay in the dorms as they're just below the dining room so you get woken up at 7am with chairs sliding above your head for the next 2 hours.

Breakfast is awesome. Place is clean. Bathroom could use a handyman to fix two broken toilets seats and on broken shower. Overall a good staff!

Staff was really helpful, everything is good, nice kitchen, good value breakfast, all facilities are working very well. 10 min walks to the central but not big problem.

A splendid hostel, lovely people working there The staff were really keen that we saw the best places and supplied routes and timetables. So I had a wonderful stay in Alesund and they saved me time and money. The hostel is an original Art Nouveau building, and the main room has beautiful pictures and friezes painted on the walls still like new. There's also a large screen TV! Breakfast ,with plenty of choice, was included. Large well equipped kitchen with tables etc so good social area too

Good location, lovely big dorm rooms, great kitchen facilities and breakfast. Staff were super helpful.

Alesund is old and run down, but cheap,. The girl on reception was very helpful and welcoming. The showers were hot, the kitchen was good, the best part was the breakfast - fabulous. I had an ealy bus and I was allowed to go in early and have breakfast. I stayed two night so that I could go to Geiranger fjord. When I got back to the hostel at 7:30pm the room to the dorm was wide open, not the secure door, the side glass door.

Nice and rich breakfast buffet but unfortunately only until 9am. Quiet central area, perfect room, well equipped kitchen.

What is good: very comfortable bed! location, very friendly staff, well-equipped kitchen But.... we hade a double room with bathroom on the first floor. Room was very small and dirty, floor was sticky, dirty, very dirty! , Bathroom was extremely small and dirty! There is no shelf at the room , no wardrobe, you have to keep your clothes in your luggage. Breakfast is just ok. I couldn't say it is really good.

kitchen in the cellar, without windows, you don´t want to cook there. a nive room to relax, but full with staff, you feel like to stay in a junkroom

Maybe it was because it was a hectic weekend and they weren't used to it, showers, bathroom and laundry room were a little untidy. Breakfast buffet was fine.

Overall in terms of location and facilitie, the hostel was great. However we found the staff to be quite rude

very convenient, and near to climb the mountain that can overview all city, worth to recommend

All positive. Yes! Excellent breakfast buffet. Close to bus terminal. Nice common area. Plenty of plug outlets. Free use of washer and dryer with reasonable cost for powder. Folding table for clothes. Lockers available for valuables. Convenient table for computer work in the male dorm. Spacious kitchen with everything you could possibly need. Separate bathrooms and showers. Friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff. Wonderful city. Fantastic experience overall!

The location is very nice, near the centre and bus terminal, close to the park, from the window you can watch the viewpoint Fjellstua. The hostel is clean and quiet, the breakfast buffet great, the staff working hard, so at any time nothing was missing on the buffet table. The common area is very nice and the kitchen spacious and well equipped. The only mistake, the kitchen in our room was not working.

Good hostel, excellent breakfast and helpful staff. The hostel is next to the Aksla mountain. Also the City centre is really close. The dorms are a bit outworn and in the Basement, but if you stay in hostels often it is just a ordinary dorm. The kitchen is great and a nice place to meet people!

The hostel is top of town. So nice view and easy approaching to observation platform. But to go hostel you have to climb up small acclivity or some stairs. But I love their great breakfast and free self laundry service with my own cleanser.

Very quiet hostel. Breakfast is very nice, but the bathrooms are freezing cold during the winter time. Owner and their Lithuanian receptionist are very helpful with everything, even if you arrive outside reception opening hours.

It is very nice place to stay with family friends.

This hostel was extremely comfortable and exactly what we needed on our night stay! My friend & I ended up with a four person room all to ourselves. This meant we had a bathroom, including a shower, all to ourselves as well! It was very clean and a great place to stay. It even included a buffet breakfast, which was better than some hotels I've stayed at. There was a kitchen in our room which wasn't working, but there was a community one downstairs which we never needed to use. Recommend!
