It was weird having hotel greci and alex house be the same place, but with different prices. I went with 2 other groups, one with alex house, and the other with Greci, and they ended up in the same suite, while my group was down the street in the alley apartment. The location for Alex House was the big winner for us. Close to all major sights; Duomo was within 10 minutes walking; ponte vechio within 5 minutes; Uffizi within 5 minutes.
Alex was very helpful; he made us reservations for the Uffizi, the Accademia and even a restaurant (definitely have dinner at La Giostra!!).
The room was sufficient; however, it was next to a four-person room, which sometimes was loud. Also, it faced a loud alley. However, he might have other rooms.
