just to say I fouled up a bit - tried to cancel 24hrs before- actually it was before 5pm the day before- but I was told I had cancelled less than 24 hrs and had to pay whole amount - $40. It turned out that hostel worlds cancellation time is even longer and i got it confused with its competitors- Hoetelling internationand and hostel.com- and also you are able to take put cancellation insurance with them. So my fault - have to put hands up- but all in all hostel world is very poor on flexibility

If you're staying in Charlottesville, this is the place to stay. Super friendly staff, great central location, very safe and secure, great price and amazing showers!

I liked this very small, home-like hostel. Probably the cleanest hostel I've ever stayed at. The kitchen was always stocked with fruit, bread, tea, etc. and common areas were very nice. (I thought Charlottesville was a great place to visit, too!)
