The room was very nice and had a home-like feel (apartment style). The staff was great. Patio was also a plus. Would definitely stay there again.

Fantastic hostel, would definitely recommend this to friends. I stayed in what looked like a 2 bedroom apartment. We had a lock to the bedroom door, the 'apartment' part was locked too, but shared with what would have been occupants of the other bedroom, but nobody else was staying there at the time. There was a WASHER & DRYER IN OUR "APARTMENT!" Full kitchen, free wifi, two balconies. Close the subway. No curfew. No additional cost for towels or sheets. Lovely staff, and huge common area.

I was very happy of my stay, I traveled alone but I met many people. the staff was great, always ready to help, provide information (map, useful flyer for tourism...). I Liked the breakfast with the home made cake, Sangria parties, djembe night, playstation. Bus station to airport, or megabus is closed... it\'s closed to everything. If I go back to Montreal I \'ll stay there again.

Feels like an abandoned warehouse! With no atmosphere! Rip off compared to other hostels we stayed at in Montreal. The decor is very poor. There is no ceiling, wires are hanging out everywhere, the toilet flush part dosent even have a lid on it! It\'s disgusting! This is they type of hostel you would expect in Thailand for half the price not Montreal!

This is a decent hostel for the price and very close to the main bus terminal/subway station (Berri UQAM) in Montreal. I enjoyed my stay there and basically just needed a place I could come back to and sleep. I was not looking for a place to socialize with the rest of the backpackers or people staying at the hostel. Facilities were clean. Not a whole lot of character but were adequate. If you are looking for a decent place to stay in Montreal for a decent price and good location. This is it!

The kitchen in the hostel is really nice and the staff there are nice that they will help me a lot. The hostel is really clean and I made lots of friends because we can use the common space there and when I go to Montreal again, I will choose this hostel for my first choice because of its reasonable price and good services provided by the staff

i really can't recommend this place. the rooms are very small and its not very clean. it's not nice at all, even if you expect just to sleep there. i felt like leaving immediatly. also, the internet is really slooooow. the lockers are downstairs (better then nothing). and i was expected to book for two nights, which is unusual. even as i wanted to leave after the first night, i had to pay for a second one. never again!

It was a great hostel! Definitely a good spot in the city. Breakfast was just toast and bananas, but it was good for me (although my friends didn't think so). And also coffee, tea, and juice. Staff was super friendly and helpful!

We really enjoyed our stay. Staff was really amazing. Small minus is that the wireless didn't work in the room.

Like so many hostels this place atmosphere is killed today by having free Wifi - but I guess thats a social thing. Everyone has a smartphone or laptop these days. The staff was really nice, especially the young girl in the evening, her name slips me unfortunately. Of course lockers being in the lounge area are a bit inconvenient, but happy that they provide some at all. thank you also for the breakfast. find out more about chinatown busses :)

Great hostel - the (purposefully?) unfinished common area, combined with the nintendo 64, cd boombox and random decorations gives the feel of hanging in a best friends basement. Great staff, great rooms for the price and a decent location - close enough to the metro, food, bars and a $12 cab ride to Crescent St area. All in all, a solid place to stay

This will be my last stay at Alexandrie. I used to love this place, but the bunkbeds are SOO SQUEAKY that every time you roll over, the loud squeaks wake you up. If I can't sleep, then the hostel pretty much fails at it's main function, despite how great everything else is. And breakfast at 8:15 doesn't help when I get up early.

Fun place to stay - spacious rooms, great atmosphere, walking distance to Metro. Would like to see it again when the renos are complete. Free Wifi, and there is a computer available, but I wouldn't rely on it, it's quite slow.

Bit of a building site, but doesn't hinder your stay. Was very good value for money and the staff were nice. The sangria night on the Friday was really good fun and really good value. A few more social events wouldn't have harmed at all! Enjoyed our stay there very much and would stay there again.
