I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Alexandrie-Montreal Hostel. It has a comfortable atmosphere and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The hostel is great value for money. I will definitely stay at the Alexandrie-Montreal Hostel if I am in Montreal again. I couldn't find any fault with it!

Those blankets weren't great. I really loved the hostel and you guys do a lot while still keeping prices low, but the blankets were ratty and thin and small. Everyone I travelled with agreed, we would've gotten much better sleep with a nice comforter, and you wouldnt even have to wash the blankets, just the duvet cover.

I went there for the Nuit Blanche event, and I liked the fact that the hostel staff were offering advice and recommendations on where to go and what to do,

I stayed almost one week and I have to say that the staff is really friendly. The bedrooms are confortable and the breakfast is alright. The only problem was that in the big room downstairs it was really noisy, sometimes you couldn't event talk to someone else because the music was so loud. It was the only problem!

I wasn't sure what to expect when I arrived, but the Alexandrie was easy to find and close to Metro and bus stops. The building has a lot of character and the staff was very helpful and friendly. My private single room was in a back part of the building, almost separate from the rest which suited my purposes perfectly. I shared a bathroom with one other person and it was clean, but not in particularly good shape. For my two night stay, the Alexandrie was clean, quiet, and simple - good value.

This is not only the cheapest hostel (17$) I have stayed at during my travels in North America, but it's also one of my favorites!!! Nothing fancy, but the place has a family feel to it &made me feel right at home! The living area is comfy and the people are great. I ended up staying for two weeks, instead of 3 days! The location is good enough and close to the Metro. They serve up a great breakfast, laundry=free!, it's clean, great staff& they offer cool activities - Amazing Value for money!!!!

This place was really amazing. Nice atmosphere in the hostel and everybody was nice and helpful. Staff helped us to plan our vacation and told us what we need to see. There is huge living room in the first floor where you can spend your time and meet other people. There was also breakfast for free. I am very satisfied and can recommend this hostel to everybody!

We only were at Alexandrie-Montreal for two nights, but we had such a good experience there. The staff were friendly and helpful, our room was clean and comfortable. When it came time to leave, I was almost in tears cuz I wished we could have stayed longer there. It's always nice to find a place that feels like "home" even in a strange city. And I mean who can complain about a common area that includes homemade Sangria and Nintendo 64 and good company??

I really really enjoyed the stay at the Alexandrie. The staff is exceptionally friendly, the beds are super comfortable - make sure you pick one of those big matresses and the location is perfect as well (a fif minute walk to metro stop Berri Uquam as well as the Greyhound Bus stop). What I liked most about the hostel was the athmosphere. In a huge common area downstairs everyone meet as if it was their living room. Every new guest was introduced to everybody! I had a great time there!

Had so much fun at this hostel Met some cool friends, good atmosphere, had a blast hanging out in the common area. They were playing music and serving Sangria. My only dissatisfaction was the sleeping facilities. I had a single room and the bed was somewhat uncomfortable and the walls were very thin, but its not a super big deal to me I would definitely stay here again if I ever come back to Montreal.

Its cheap, but the location is not good. A bit far from the subway. One guy of my room saw a rat in our room, so...not the cleaner hostel ever. Nice breakfast.
