Three friends spent one night at Alfama Patio Hostel in May. Really nice staff. We wanted to spend one more night at Lisbon, we didn't have booked and the hostel was full, so they get another room to us at Sunset Destination Hostel with 10% of discount. Beautiful views of river Tagus. The breakfast was included in the price and it was quite good. Our room was clean and comfortable

We had a private double room on the first floor. Room was comfortable, clean, and adorable. The only down point was the WC on the first floor is down 2 corridors. Another guest said on the other floors the WC is closer to the rooms.

If you want to stay in the old part of Lisbon, this is the place to stay. If you don't like walking, don't stay here. It has a great patio with a view and has very friendly and accommodating staff.

One of the best hostel I've ever stayed! The "spirit" of the place allows the travellers to meet each easily. Smiling staff, clean dorms, delicious dinners, central and calm location. At the end, you will wondering yourself only one thing: "Is there still a free bed to stay a little bit longer?"

This hostel was AMAZING!! It had sister hostel which we just as nice or even more. I thought the staff was fantastic :) And the complimentary free pancake breakfast was great as well. You can't go wrong if you choose this hostel. In fact, if I ever return to Lisbon, I will definitely be staying here again :)

so amazing!! amazing atmosphere, great accommodations, amazing staff, easy to meet other travelers. I felt safe as a 20 year old girl traveling alone. So many activities offered including dinners, jazz nights, walking tours, tours of other cities, bbq's, etc. Amazing views. Great access to the other hostels in Lisbon. Loved staying here

Amazing hostel, great staff. They made us pancakes for breakfast every morning. Amazing location, great garden and terrace on the roof. Just a really good hostel that we would recommend to everyone! Thank you!

The staff is good and helpful, it is a clean place with good atmosphere. You can have a nice sea view from some of the rooms. The hostel near the metro station and train station, but it is a bit hard and far to go from the station to the hostel. The room is not big and the toilet is quite small. If I go to Lisboa again, I will try to find another hostel. Maybe because I am bit old, not young any more:)

I really liked Alfama, it was a home away from home. The hostel has so much character and is a great place to hang out with an atmosphere that is fun and inviting. The dinners that they provide are delicious and a great way to meet some new friends. It is hard to find because Barrio Alfama is a windy labyrinth but just follow the cute old little trolly line number 28 up the hill and you will walk right by the hostel. I would highly recommend Alfama! It exceeded any of my expectations.

I stayed only one night, so I cannot tell about the atmosphere or security. However, it is a good hostel for youth like me. Because it's cheap and all the staffs are trying to help me. The problem is location. In the map, it is not that far away from the metro, however, if you have a luggage, you will definitely want to throw it away. It is located on the hill side, the old town, which is beautiful and lovely, however, with your huge luggage, it's not that easy. Anyhow thank you for everything!

STAY HERE! Easily the favourite hostel that I have stayed at during 8 months of travelling. It has the best vibe, it is really easy to meet other travellers, and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. It feels more like a home than a hostel. The breakfast is superb (pancakes, jams, teas, coffee, juice, fruit, good quality bread, cereal). The wristband was also a nice touch and meant that you could visit the two other hostels if you wanted.

I really enjoyed my stay - one of the best hostels I've stayed in. I was travelling alone and it was really easy to meet people - I definitely recommend staying there for dinner, and the breakfast is great. However the Fado tour is definitely not worth the money - you'd be better off just looking it up in a guide book or walking in off the street to a bar with a sign in the window.

Thank you very much for everything ! We really loved staying at the hostel ^^ we will come back, that's for sure ! The staff is really nice and available, the place is really nice and clean, the view from the terrasse is great (I miss having my breakfast there...). Maybe a large common room can be missed in winter. But we came in March and it did not disturb our journey ^^
