The best staff I have ever stayed with!!! They make you feel like family. I highly recommend signing up for the Sintra day tour. I was traveling alone as a girl, but the hostel made me feel very safe. The staff even help me plan my trip on where to sightsee. The food was amazing they made these Russian pancakes. The atmosphere felt like home. It was also very clean. The location was perfect!

The bedrooms were great: the sheets were clean and the bed was comfy. Very cozy atmosphere. A little bit of home away from home :)

amazing place in the heart of beautiful Alfama. All the people working there are incredibly friendly, social and helpful, such a lovely atmosphere, felt like a 2nd home. I also recommend the portuguese dinner you can get at the hostel every night...original and very delicious. And don´t miss the trip to Sintra they offer, you won´t regret it cheers

Amazing hostel, perhaps my favorite! Only points lost are the distance from my room to the bathroom. Staff is great and helpful, guests are charming, atmosphere is genuine. Relaxed, but if you are looking for a party, contact Jaoa to stay at his other place, which I will do next time purely for a change of pace. I like it so much here, I am thinking of taking a room for two months this summer. Marissa, the cook, is a talented artist, and I have taken every dinner here.

Stunning location and probably one of the best hostels to stay at during hot weather due to its amazing outside space. Friendly staff and great value dinners. double room a bit small but the view made up for this.

It´s the third time in less than six months that I go to Alfama Patio Hostel in Lisbon.. there you feel as comfortable as in your own house, thanks to its wonderful "crew", pretty house, and incomparable atmosphere..a great discovery..it´s much more than a normal hostel, it´s like to be in your own house..but with it full of good friends..! . With fondness, Federico from Spain.

Alfama Patio Hostel is a wonderful place to stay. After long days exploring the city it felt like coming home to a family. My single room was clean and cosy, nice decorated and since it was in winter, there was a small heating in the room. The shared bathrooms are quite small, but always clean. The staff is extremely nice and helpful at any time of day and night. The location is great, 10 minutes walk to Baixa or Sta. Apolonia Stationand well-connected by public transport tram, metro and train

Hi there! The Alfama Patio Hostel gave us everything we hoped to find for our stay in Lisbon. We had 2 nights in a basic but very clean and cosy 4-bed dorm and 1 night in a double private room. Both with a balcony that overlooked the pittoresque Alfama quarter and the Tejo river! Staff was great and very helpful, 24h/day. Great hearty breakfast, cosy common room and terrace and every night there's a nice cook coming over to prepare a heavenly meal for nearly no money. Alfama, we loved it!

Verz nice, although i visited it in time when there were not a lot of people. But eating pancakes more than for 2 days is really boring. Prepare extramoney to have bread with cheese and sausage
