Alibi M14 Hostel Reviews

Decent enough. Good location, easy to find and staff helpful. Good kitchen/eating area, but no real social/relaxing area (no lounge room with couch). Showers were good. Rooms had a lot of beds, and because of the lockers in the middle of the room, there was not much space (I would rather have had no locker...) Majority guests were Slovenian I think. Main issue was that there was a strange smell throughout certain areas of the hostel, combined with the temperature, not conducive to hanging around

We stayed during new year and it was a tad on the high side but i guess it is the same everywhere. We enjoyed out stay and we had a great time in Ljubljana.

The hostel is very close to the center and the staff is really kind. We really have enjoyed our stay.

In room was very cold all night.

The hostel is in centre, best location in Lubiana.There are many attractions near it.The girls who work in staff are very friendly.Alibi Is very clean and quiet,i loved this hostel, i recomend.Lubiana is wonderful city, people like to speak on street and drink a lot of hot wine.Lubiana and Hostel Alibi M14, i´ll never forget you.Thanks.

I do not recommend this hostel if you are arriving after 23:00. You have to walk 10 more minutes to check in and come back to this location after check--in. It was just ridiculous. when I had to do it at 2:30am.

Alibi 14 was easy to find and anticipated our needs... map, kitchen, lockers. The staff was friendly and helpful. It's clean and comfortable. Free computer use was nice.

the greatest value is the location! just take few steps and you are in the middle of old Ljubljana!

good location, equipt a new kitchen. but you will feel a some cold and noisy.

Location is great, 2 minutes from the very center. Kitchen is the common room with the computers at the same time, which makes it pretty small. We had the room, in which you enter from that kitchen, so even if people didn't speak loudly there, we couldn't sleep. It wasn't crowded in November, so we had hot water each time, place by the computer, and free showers. Staff is very nice and helpful.

The location is fantastic near the triple bridge. When we arrived they tried to change us to another place due the overbooking, but we refused because in the other place we didn't have got kitchen facilities (the reason why we choosed hostel than a hotel). We saw another people be moved to other places, so I suppose the overbooking is usual in this hostel. The room was good, but the commom area is little for so many functions (kitchen, common area,etc), fine for 4 people for more is caotic.

Staff were nice and helpful. The atmosphere was nice and friendly. It was relatively comfortable. All in all, I liked it.

Nice hostel, good location. It didn't really matter the hostel rooms were open because we had huge lockers to put our things in. So close to the centre of Ljubljana, and not far from the bus/train station either.

DON'T STAY HERE! arrived at 2am & were told we had to stay 1 night in another hostel as they had double booked our room despite booking months in advance. weren't told where other hostel was or given map!! we were ensured our room in alibi would be ready when we returned but when we did we were told it wouldn't be ready until 2pm even though we were paying for use of room. finally got to room, booked a double but it was a twin on noisy stairwell. no hot water, dirty bathrooms. TREATED SO BADLY!!

This is a good hostel with and excellent location. The staff were very helpful and courteous

No space for our luggage. We had to carry it to the hostel down the road. Its not far, but we had heavy bags.

The staff are friendly and charming. But the escalators are quite old and spooky. If you have a huge luggage, you have to carry all your stuff to 2nd floor for check-in and maybe move back to the 1st floor for your room.

very old building. Linens did not smell clean. Girl at desk was not very friendly or helpful and was not there in the morning for us to hand our key back. Bathrooms were not clean and there was no hot water in the showers on our floor. No atmosphere as the common areas and kitchen are badly placed with bedrooms all around them so you cannot make any noise or talk late at night i.e. after 10pm!
