Great Hostel, loved the caravan rooms, and the early breakfast so you can eat before your tour leaves. Although it is a bit strange with the security cameras in the kitchen and laundry, and photos in the kitchen of people who had stolen 1 piece of toast!! That's a bit weird. Air conditioning was great and is a must have during summer.

I emailed them the day of our arrival because I forgot to ask for airport pickup and heard back immediately saying they were happy to give us a lift even so the policy was the request had to be in at least 24 hours prior. This place was fun, chilled out, and great place to stay if visiting the Alice!!!

The kitchen is very small but there is a good outside seating area with a nice pool.

It's a nice hostel. We've stayed just for an hour, then the friendly owner gave us an upgrade to the Motel. But everything looked pretty good.

Great hostel in a very convenient location a few minutes walk into town centre. Caters well for the early starts associated with tours in the redcentre (baggage storage availabe and breakfast starts at 4am). Kitchen much too small for the number of guests tho - it was a battle to find space to prepare dinner compounded by the annoying habit that so many backpackers have of not doing their washing up and/or leaving stuff on the draining board for the washing up fairy. No hooks in bedroom.

5min walk to the shopping street and very accommodating towards storing luggage and helping out while you are going on a 3 day outback tour

Cheap, clean, very kind and helpful staff. The hostel has the good size to meet people, not like all the "factory" you can find in the big city, it's "human" backpacker. Probably one of my favorite during my travel in all Australia!

My friend and I were very surprised about the atmosphere in this hostel, very friendly and "backpackerly" The pool is FUN! We love it! The location is good, 5-10mn walking to shopping center (Coles). Th kitchen is good, familiar to us, to all too!

my first choice among all alice springs hostels. not a party-like hostel, but nice and fun still. free wi-fi and breakfast is a great plus.

Enjoyed the hostel--good facilities: laundry, internet, free breakfast (with milk for coffee no less), clean rooms, etc. Location is OK, across the river from downtown, but was recommended to take a taxi back rather than walk. Main issue was staff related--don't expect anything approaching the 'extra mile.' Reception closes on the dot, and can be pretty abrupt in answering questions.

I stayed only two nights there, before and after my tour, and I really enjoyed the cleanliness and the calm in the hostel. Free wifi and free breakfast were good bonuses too.

Stayed there before and after our Uluru/Kata tjuta tour with rock tours. Free luggage storage and free internet was great. Our 6 bed dorm was the smallest room I've ever seen, there was not enough room for 6 people movin/standing, let alone the backpacks/suitcases. The free breakfast was great (cereal, toast and tea/coffee). It is a 5-10 min walk to the Center of Alice Springs,by night a $10 Taxi. Staff was friendly.

We stayed a week at Alice Lodge and we loved it! Our 3-bed dorm was clean and confortable, it is a fun and relaxed place to rest! We know that in Alice Springs there is a problem of mice because of the heavy rains, but we didn't see any and the hostel was very clean! The staff is friendly and helpful, we met lots of cool people and were glad for the swimming pool! :) The kitchen display was great, just make sure you label your food properly. Overall, thumbs up mate!

The major prolem of this hostel is that there are cameras in all common areas and I don't think it is essential to put a camera in the kitchen to see if someone took more than two slice of bread or no (one dollar the packet) and then to publish the pictures (which is by the way against privacy laws). just in case: i'm only eating one slice of bread each morning so I didn't get any problem but I just felt uncomfortable being watched all the time, it's not a reality tv show!
