I had an awesome time there and would always go back.

Great Hostel, loved the caravan rooms, and the early breakfast so you can eat before your tour leaves. Although it is a bit strange with the security cameras in the kitchen and laundry, and photos in the kitchen of people who had stolen 1 piece of toast!! That's a bit weird. Air conditioning was great and is a must have during summer.

Owner Comment (Show)
G'day Josh, Thank you for the positive feedback. I would like to explain the reasons why cameras have been installed. In the laundry- after several months of travellers ripping us off by using cotton buds to get free washes and in turn jamming up the coin mechanism- costing Alice Lodge $$$ to get it fixed. In the Kitchen- the person you see eating the breading in the picture on the wall was having his dinner at 9pm at night which is a bit rude and I'm pretty sure if you went to have breakfast at 5am and there was no bread there for you, you'd leave a review saying breakfast wasn't available. Breakfast times are clearly displayed in the kitchen and we also inform people as to what time breakfast can be eaten upon check in. Again thank you for the positive feedback but I think you'll agree we have good reason to have cameras installed around the hostel and most of all, the cameras are there for everybodies security. I emailed them the day of our arrival because I forgot to ask for airport pickup and heard back immediately saying they were happy to give us a lift even so the policy was the request had to be in at least 24 hours prior. This place was fun, chilled out, and great place to stay if visiting the Alice!!!

it was very clean and tidy. outside is so hot, but was air-conditioned. a little bit far from city centre. Unfortunately, Wifi is very poor. at night time, i tried to see 1 or 2 web pages and gave up because it was too slow and seeing by mobile phone was much faster.

Great place to stay. Close to everything, less than 10 minute walk to town and tourist attractions. I stayed here for 5 nights and got to know staff pretty well. Great facilities, clean and free breakfast from 4am. Yes, 4am! I highly recommend if you do intend to stay in Alice. It was one of the cheaper hostels in the area and one of the best in my opinion.

The kitchen is very small but there is a good outside seating area with a nice pool.

It's a nice hostel. We've stayed just for an hour, then the friendly owner gave us an upgrade to the Motel. But everything looked pretty good.

Great hostel in a very convenient location a few minutes walk into town centre. Caters well for the early starts associated with tours in the redcentre (baggage storage availabe and breakfast starts at 4am). Kitchen much too small for the number of guests tho - it was a battle to find space to prepare dinner compounded by the annoying habit that so many backpackers have of not doing their washing up and/or leaving stuff on the draining board for the washing up fairy. No hooks in bedroom.

5min walk to the shopping street and very accommodating towards storing luggage and helping out while you are going on a 3 day outback tour
