The stay in Alice in Wonderland was really nice, it has great location really close to the city centre and Vatican. The breakfast was included in the price which was great too. The only drawbacks in our stay was that since the flat is located in the basement it was a bit humid in there but nothing tragic though.

Marianna (the owner) was very helpful and kind - she was ready to answer all our questions and helped us a lot while planning our sightseeing. The hostel cozy and clean.

if you want to be away from the tourists, and want peace and quite in the evenings this is the place.,its shared toilets so ,morning is a bit of a rush. you also get a chance to see the markets where the locals go. we got a room with bunk beds rather than a double bed. but we didn't mind as we were the only room with direct access to the rear terrace. you also get you own laptop in the room which is great. the metro is a 10 min walk, also some nice restaurants close by.

Its the worst I have come across in the past 4 years of my travel in Europe and of what I have booked through Hostel World. 1. Please maintain record of passports when people check in. We were not asked for. 2. One Bathroom for almost 10 users..... 3. No facility to pay by credit card 4. No proper Bill 5. Room heater not working and No hot water at the basin 6. No proper signage on the building outside.

This is a lovely place, very clean, with breakfast and helpful staff. Good surprise: they have a laptop in the room. Bad points: the "Deluxe Twin Private" is a double bed with a not so good matress on the bottom part. Only one bathroom is complicated for many people. A little far from metro, about 10 min walk. Arrive at the specified time since the owners are not there all the time. Enjoy it :)

The hostel was excellent! Having breakfast out for every morning was a plus and Mariana was so sweet. The beds were super comfortable. The only thing that wasn't great was the bathroom floor which for some reason was always wet. Other than that though, it was a very nice place!

Our stay at Alice in Wonderland was really good. The owner was waiting for us in front of the building,on the first day. We had a clean a comfortable room and a good breakfast We would have liked to meet someone who could speak english at least to help us to book a taxi

Spacious, clean, airy; excellent heat / blankets if travel in cold weather. Kind, responsive people. Terrific fresh fruit / bottled water in the kitchen---great for us gals trying to avoid high sugar carbs while traveling. Great Wifi reception. Neighborhood with local, safe, nice feel. Walk past rainbow-colored produce markets; will make you envy Romans! 8 blocks to Metro. Easy walk - Vatican city. Best 1 Euro cappucino ever - Cafe Mazzini on the circle nearing Via Ferrari! Will be back!

This hostel is perfect for those who like to staying in an apartment. The rooms all come with there own private bathrooms, and are nicely furnished. The collection of food which is available all day as part of the breakfast is very good. The location is a plus point, its away from all the noise of the centre, but is a 15 min walk from the Vatican, and metro (unless your a lazy b#####d who doesn't like walking) . The walls however are a little thin, if your on a romantic getaway. Worth a visit !

Our room was lovely, comfortable, quiet and clean. Unfortunately the shower was not very clean and had a leak resulting in water going all over the floor. The breakfast was limited and the cereal and fruit were not that fresh. The kitchen area was in a hallway so seemed a little make-shift. The only times we saw the host were just as we arrived and just as we were leaving. Though he did seem sincere, his English was not that good making communication extremely limited. We had a lovely time

Very nice hostel, it was really hard to find because the sign is in writing on a 2" by 2" piece of paper, but overall, our stay was great!

Clean and spacious. Staff were only to be seen when we checked in and never again (probably because we were there over a holiday weekend), so when we ran out of toilet paper there was no one to ask. Also, the directions to the place are a bit shaky. Make sure you have a map before you try to find it.

Alice in Wonderland is AWESOME. The best hostel throughout my Italy trip. Marianna, the owner, is incredibly nice and helpful. I would definitely have a visit next time and introduce to my friend.
