I was very disapointed in this hostel. Our stay was bad, started with $20 extra taken for the room at check in and kept going with the staff taking all of our food. When we complained we were told that we should put a label on it or it would be taken or thrown away by the staff. No one told us about it and as we were very tired when we checked in we didn't notice the sign. This is completely unacceptable. When we came back hungry and had nothing to eat they didn't help us and didn't care.
Nice Area, friendly staff! The room was realy clean and bid.I slept in a 10bed room.

The location of the hostel was perfect - just a two minute walk from Southern Cross Station, and a short stroll intro the all the shoppping/sights! Only downside about the location was the noise from outside - luckily you can get free earplugs from the reception. The rooms are good, but would have been nice with free lockers in every room. Staff was very accomodating, and friendly, and will help you with if you need anything.

close to southern cross station and free trolley, river bike path not too far away either. one of the largest hostels ive ever stayed in and no chance to hardly even walk through the kitchen, it was so crowded. had to pay for lockers and they were small/inconvenient. average cleanliness and not so relaxing being in a hostel with what seemed to be hundreds of other people, but then again it's a big city to explore and didnt spend much time at hostel anyway
I liked that the 10 bed dorm was divided into 2 rooms so you kind of had the feeling of sleeping in just 4 bed dorms. The claniless was good, the kitchen was ok. Good value for money.
It was noisy, but that is to be expected in a hostel. The major issue I had was the fact that the room was so incredibly hot, even with the window, fans and door open all night, it was just too hot to sleep in the room. Otherwise I found the hostel to be fine, very convenient location. The free pasta and rice was great. Would have been nice if the wifi was free.
it was a nice spot to stay, beds where super nice, the toilets and washroom where up to par, kitchen was a wee bit small but at leaf there was a kitchen. could use and lift. good location in regards to trams close enough to the busy streets and two train stations.
No plug point for every bed one plug socket for eight beds and no reading light just one overhead light. Not overly clean and no ac. Very dated.

not impressed with the rooms, no where to leave personal belongings. Doors didn't swing closed. Staff were friendly - ish, sometimes didn't know what you asked just smiled and nodded. I asked before purchasing does the wifi work in all the rooms as I only want if works in rooms, the lady promised me it works in all rooms, it didn't. I went back and asked to have money back as I hadn't used it - rude staff- told me I was stupid for thinking it would work in a big building. Overall stay poor
Bad: No Air con, No working fan in the room, and rude staff (A girl in the reception), and we shared room with a homeless woman who did not take care of her personal hygiene. Good: Free pasta and rise, good location, big kitchen
A nice hostel, not particularly noisy, although if you get a room facing the street you'll hear all the city's traffic on the main street. Clean and comfortable. Keycards for rooms are good, however the main door on to the street was never closed while I was there. No lockers in rooms was the only actual bad bit, they say they're working on it, and have a safe room for now. Very well located for getting to the city centre, southern cross station and airport. Would stay again.
Great location if you are looking to be close to the city. There were a few staff members who were extremely rude to my friends and I, as well as to others in the hostel. There was no space to put anything when you were in the shower. I would never stay here again.
Room's price according to whether they like your face. Ask people in your room, nobody pay the same.
the hostel was great, made to feel welcome and had that family atmosphere with everyone looking out for each other. the staff were very helpful with any enquires you had. free pasta, rice, coffee, tea and sugar was also good! the bar next to the hostel is a great way to meet people from the hostel as i found when i first arrived, play some pool and have a few drinks and meet new people. almost didnt want to leave, will be going back for sure!
Lovely people that upgraded us to a db bunk instead of two single or twin. We had shower next door and toilet around the closest cnr. Old building which is surprising how big it is. Quiet enough to sleep although warm night.
The internet was very very slowly. I don't recommend it. Free pasta and rice. Great staff and location.
This is one of the worst hostels I have EVER stayed out across the world - noisy, rude people, alcohol being drunk freely in dorms and corridors - no quiet curfew - a free towel was a positive - but not much else.
for such a MASSIVE hostel, the staff didn't make you feel like just a number. some staff members were really rude but the rest were cool!
