The floors were dirty, the common area (or the rest of the hostel for that matter) had no atmosphere, you advertise with free beer or wine on arrival, which I never received, you advertise with 'free great ocean road trip' posters which isn't free. I stayed in room 201 which gets a lot of noise from the pipes which the water runs through 24hours a day, and also a lot of noise from the bar. Staff would come into the room every morning for a head count and turn on the lights, waking people up.

Came down for a night's leave, 7 of us all up - so managed to get an 8 bed room to ourselves. The facilities aren't bad, although a single shower/toilet/sink (for males at least) per level is pretty poor. The beds felt comfy enough, however we went to bed around 5am pretty drunk so didn't really appreciate the quality/noisiness of them. Was disappointed by some items going missing from the baggage room, as entry to it is very uncontrolled. Thankfully they were only minor valuables.

Only stayed overnight in the city to catch an early flight. Had a horrible sleep due to a lot of noise. Average hostel, close to southern cross, good price. What I expected.

For a very large Hostel, it was well catered for, lots of young people, a bit noisy but I met some nice people. The staff were very helpful, there was also free Noodles and rice, which was very helpful. I'd stay there again when in Melb as it's very close to Southern cross Stn, to catch the Skybus to the Airport. A good place!!

Always a pleasure coming back to stay with nomads. staff are great, place is clean, cheap and fun. Get some lockers for the room to keep cameras etc for next time, that would be great. see you in a few months

Hi, I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed my time at your hostel! Everything was very nice and I have nothing bad to say exept that the bar next to our room was so loud that I couldn´t sleep very well. If there wasn´t the bar next door it would be the perfect hostel! cheers elisabeth

I really loved my stay at the All Nations City Backpackers because the staff and the atmosphere are just amazing. And also the Mad shop downstairs the people are so great. The only think that I did not like so much was that we did not had lockers in the room. I know that there where some lockers but I do not want to pay for that. So would be cool with some lockers where you need your own lock. Everything else was good.

It is a bit of a mess and the rooms are not really clean. Also the bathrooms are not so clean.

the shower and toilet on the floor we stayed on werent very clean. tiles were broken on the floor in shower. the one shower that was working could do with a shelf inside to put things on. the room itself was good. that was clean and bed was comfortable. the staff were friendly and helpful and location is fantastic. i liked the key cards. just a scan and not one of those that you put in slot and dont always work.

It would be good to have lockers (supply own lock) in rooms, and power points, or at least some extension cables. Particularly to allow ease of charging laptops and phones with no worry of someone stealing them. Nowadays wireless internet should be free or at least very cheap (cheaper than what was offered). I used mobile broadband instead, but being central city location it wasn't perfect. Showers could do with fans to expel air as it's extremely humid when lots take showers.

The place is nothing short of a dump! It's very noisy, people use doorways as meeting places and smoke in front of the main entrance. There are no fans in the rooms, and the bathroom feels like a sauna. You couldn't pay me enough to stay there!!!

Most of the staff were good and helpful, but there were a few members of staff who were just unhelpful and a little rude. The atmosphere was kind of ruined a little bit with a few of the guest carrying on the way they did but all in all was a great stay. Would do it again!

It was horrible in every way possible. The web site/hostel should make sure they advertise that it is a party hostel and geared towards young people looking for a party and noise. I even found a young woman passed out on the toilet at 6:00am one morning.

typical large city backpackers, starting to look very run down. only 1 shower working in the unisex toilets out of 2, that left only 1 other that the males could use but the females have their own bathroom, on the floor there are 20 plus rooms, the 1 I stayed in was a 10 bed. I had only planned to stay for 1 night anyway as it was convenient to Southern Cross station

I was only there for a couple of hours to sleep and charge my phone, except the power points didn't work so I used the bathroom to charge our phones. We we're too tired to complain at the time but other than that the stay was fine :)
