Great Hostel! Small which means you really get to meet the other travellers in the hostel. Very warm, homely and laid back place. Staff are very helpful and welcoming! Had a lovely stay!

The hostel had a good location and most staff were very friendly. The toliet assigned to our room did not flush and was blocked during our stay. Also there was no hot water during our time at the hostel. Towels were not provided and could only be hired for $50 pesos. There was a strange smell in most of the common areas. The common areas were quite dark and uncomfortable. The bar area was not open very often, however we were at the hostel during the low season. The breakfast was very average.

I think its pretty bad that you have to pay 20 pesos more if you don't book ahead, that is very unreasonable, beds were also very hard and not enough blankets on the beds, you cannot run a hostel the same in winter and in summer.

The staff was very thoughtful and friendly. I got sick while I was there and a staff member offered to go to the pharmacy for me. Then the next day asked if I was doing better. The facility was very clean as well.

Good location near town centre however not the place for a quiet nights sleep - especially when the pool table is outside your room and people start playing at 5.00am after coming in! The travel company connected to the Hostel also kindly recommended a wine tour for us which turned out to be entirely in spanish so didn\'t understand any of it - muchas gracias!

We were disappointed with this hostel: smelly room, poor shared bathroom, very cramped shared kitchen that made cooking difficult. There was not a good atmosphere in the place generally.

Great atmosphere and homely hostel! The owners are really welcoming and the staff are super. Most speak several languages. Great ASADO night and fantastic bar area, really easy to meet people. I stayed longer than I originally planned. Excellent location, close to shops, the park, the bars, and loads of restaurants just outside the hostel. They have a travel agency and organise several tours. I did the Gaucho day and the High mountain tour which were unforgettable!

Breakfast was not good...no fruit, bread wasn´t great. Aircon in out room was terrible...so loud and did not cool! Stick with fans! Better for your health too. Staff were fantastic...very helpfull. Swimming pool needed cleaning! It was quite clean but all very old.

The location was great however I felt reception was never attended to. The bathrooms were rarely cleaned and the shared room small and overheated. The pool was smaller than the photo suggested and the bar never opened in the time we were there. The internet and wi fi were terrible at best. The breakfast was nice but the food always ran out. would look for somewhere else.

Nice place. Very helpful staff. We had a 13 hour bus to catch and the staff let us take a shower beforehand even though we'd checked out 12 hours earlier. No complaints at all. I'd say THE place to stay in Mendoza

It was great to stay in the Monkey hostel. All the staff were very helpful and speaking there languages good. Visiting the monkey hostel is for everybody, it doesn't matter if you're a young or al little bit older person. The tours you can book in the hostel are great. We did beside the bicycle wine tour also the mountain tour A MUST SEE. With a 4x4 into the mountains, see the aconcagua and one of the most views. Sleep, eat, drink, party and nice tours a great in THE MONKEY HOSTEL.
