Property Description
Allegretto Bed & Breakfast occupies two neighboring 100-year-old houses in a quiet residential street in the Cerro Alegre area of Valparaiso.
Our hostel is English-owned and run and, in keeping with the age of the house, much of the furniture is antique.
For entertainment, as well as the 1960 jukebox stocked with classic vinyl, there is also a piano, a subbuteo table football game and a jigsaw always in progress in the living room.
We provide an up-to-date guide and a free map to help you get the most out of your stay, and are also happy to help organise excursions. Guests also get a small discount in our nearby pizza restaurant.
We're literally just around the corner from bars, restaurants, art galleries and workshops, handcrafts shops and boutiques that are most popular with visitors to Valparaiso.
In the nineteenth century the area was home to the English, Italian and German immigrants who largely built the city. Today many of its grand old houses are some like Allegretto with ceilings four metres high - have been restored, and the area is a safe haven for visitors who come to enjoy its bars and restaurants, funicular railways, former streets of cobbles and panoramic views of the bay.
Allegretto is a friendly, family-run place, with all the conveniences and facilities you would expect. Most of our guests tend to be couples, but we welcome guests of all types, including children.
