This place was terrible.. the shower+toilet+sink area was the size of my single size bed. apparently the 2 person rooms get a better bathroom, but my 4 person room was really disgusting. They really dont have a kitchen nor lounge nor any area to socialise. The only place that you may sit outside the room was the stairs or a small room which was the baggage area (no lock) and vending machine area. The computers didnt work, and even if they did it would cost you 4 euros an hour. Look elsewhere.

cheap price than other places close to santa lucia train station.. easy to find difficult to find places where you can have breakfast near here. bathroom is seperated to the room.. but you can use privately hot water is enough good place to stay

This was by far the worse hostel in which I have ever stayed. Not a social environment, early curfew, one key for the entire room and no place to lock bags. I would not stay here again.

Proximity to the train station made for a stress-free arrival. Staff were helpful giving directions for a rather confusing city. I think I was told to leave my key with reception when I went out, but I didn't and there were no repercussions.

Positive: the private double en-suite was very clean and nice. The spot was perfect: maximum three minutes walk to the railway station, there was a shopping center nearby. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Negative: there was actually nothing to ruin our mood or to think less of the place. It's quite expensive, but I guess you should expect that while traveling to Venice. Late check in at 14:00 was a bit uncomfortable, because we arrived at 11:00. But on the whole all was good.

Compared to other hostels that we have stayed at around Europe Alloggi Gerotto Calderan wasn't very good value for the money. However, that not a surprise when you see the rest of the prices in Venice. Alloggi Gerotto Calderan was located really close to the central station and within walking distance of the whole city.

The hostel has a very good location, like ten minutes walking from the S.L. VENICE STATION, and the bathroom and the beds were very good. The only problem is that they use a card system to open the door but they have only one card for the six people in the room, even if you don't know eachother, so if you get in the room first then everybody you have to pay attention to open the door one someone knocks.

Maybe a little noisy in the morning because of not so good insonorisation... but all the rest was very good : price, location, very friendly and helpful staff ! would definitely recommend it !

Great location, clean, warm, WiFi ok in rooms (sometimes loses signal) or PC available 1euro/15min if needed. Breakfast is not included (but that way can save few euros and have it outside as well) Can be bit noisy, but normal..

The hotel was very easy to find, which in Venice is a hard thing. We took 5 minutes from the Bus station to get there. We actualy stayed at Hotel Geremia, which is next door, it seemed ok for us. The room was really tidy and clean (very important for me), it was a little bit small but it wasn't a problem. The bathroom was separated, and I could understand why it had to be locked all the time.... The walls were really thin, as we could hear our neighbour snoring.... The location was great!!!

It's very clean, but the staff should check the identities of the ones who go to the keys...

This is more like a ordinary hotel - towels are changing every day and there is no 24h access. Besides that, location is awesome - train station is in 5 minutes walking.

It was a great place for the price, I was just a little weirded out by the fact we had to leave our room keys when we went out for the day. Also, to use their computers you had to pay. But the location was great, we didn't really get lost once. On a whole a pretty good place that I would consider again.

The location is great, but if u have more than one heavy suitcase it's really a living hell!. The shower water is cold! never turns warm. They don't serve breakfast even though this is one of the most expensive hostels in the area. The thing I liked is that they do your bed everyday.

The hostel was definitely not the best. The facility is kept clean but it's pretty old. The bathroom/shower is really small too.. There are no lockers so make sure to bring locks for your luggage. There is also no breakfast included >:( Other than these things, the location is excellent! It is less than a five minute walk to the main train station. It is also really close to the bus stations and the waterbus stations. You're pretty near all of the tourist sites and the main tourist streets.

there is no breakfast included in the price. So the value is not really better than other hostels in venice.

the reception should check the name of the guest before handling the key to guest after going out.
