The most difficult part was lugging the luggage up the steep and narrow stairs. The room had a wonderful view overlooking the square. Wished there was breakfast included. Staff were friendly. Top marks for location - just a stone's throw away from Santa Lucia station.

I in April 2013, this hostel via Hostelworld 100.80 euro for a room for the date of May 5, 2013 I made my reservation. I knew to do with the requirement to give notice of cancellation of booking. Then again, on 29 April 2013 Hostelworld'e iptalimi notice. However, despite this Alloggi Gerotto Calderan 100.80 euro by credit card were taken. I objected, but they said we did not cancel. On 29 April 2013 Hostelworld'e informed my iptalime on May 13, 2013 after 15 days on the answer came to me and I

The only one good thing of this hostel is location that is near train station just 5 minute by walk. other thing is just average but it is ok if you want to save your money when you travel in Venice.

The location of this guesthouse is perfect - really close to the train and bus station, which is a huge plus. Room and bathroom was clean, the beds were OK. Just the noise in the evening/night made it little hard to fall asleep. The staff is friendly. Leaving keys at the reception and curfew at 1am weren't a problem for us. At the last day they offered leaving bags in storage room, which was convenient, because we had the whole day of walking around planned.

I'm happy over my stay at your hostel. The location was great and price very affordable so I feel that other things are only minors compared to those. Still I didn't like at all that one key to one room policy. In my room there was four other travellers who all checked out couple of hours earlier in the morning than me so I was still sleeping when they left. When I woke up the door of the room was full open. Not just unlocked but I mean wide open.

room was very clean but very overpriced for what it is. the room is TINY. and I was aware that it did not include a kitchen, but an ice machine and a mini fridge should be incorporated. If you are going to sell it as hotel prices, it should resemble hotel amenities. Otherwise felt secure.

This hostel was good for the low price in that it was clean and in a nice plaza with close proximity to the train and bus stations. The rooms were small and the beds very close together but they were clean. I want to clarify their lock in policy though as I freaked out when I got up at 5:30 am to catch a bus to the airport and came downstairs to realize that "locked in" literally meant a chain and padlock around the front door handles with no way out. Beware.

Very Clean and Friendly atmosphere! There was a great view out of the window, and the bed was very comfortable. The location was on the north side of the Island and was great for anything on that side of town and was really easy to find. A quick walk from the Train or Bus station,

Great spot but no wifi in the rooms which was pain as you have to go to their office across the piazza. No breakfast and you have to pay by cash. The staff was pleasant and helpful that was good I give them 100% on service.

there was a renovation going on while we stayed so the hostel was like a building site. when we complained we were given another room across the square which was much better, cleaner, and no noise. why they didnt give us this to begin with i'll never know. the lady pretending to be the manager was both rude and insulting when we made our complaint to her and had a grudge every time we had to vist the lobby after the complaint. a very unpleasent carachter indeed, watch out for her!

It is obvious that appears recently renovated and was alot better than in some reviews I saw. Room was quite nice. Still quite away from bus station when carring luggage like I had large ski bag. Found better to get back to arco Polo AP by Alana? boat since only slightly more in price with city boat and AP bus and stop only 2 blocks away.

Had a great stay here. There is only one key for the doors, so if someone comes back late it could be annoying, but it was never an issue with my roommates. It's also really close to the train station in Venice, and though it doesn't serve breakfast, you can grab a coffee and crossant for 2 euro really close by. My room had a bathroom ensuite, which was nice too.

The inability to come and go at leisure from the building was a small drawback, but otherwise the room was excellent for the price, and the location good for travel as it was near the bus and train stations and shopping, especially easy to get to supermarkets and thus helpful for a longer stay. It was also convenient to vaporetto stops on a number of lines. But the quarter also still had all the character of Venice, so it's an excellent choice for budget conscious travelers.

perfect location: very convenient to get everywhere during the festival the plaza in front of the hotel held various activities, so in the night it's not easy to fall asleep.

Venice is a very expensive city, however, this was a very good hostal (a bit smelly because of the humidity, but all Venice is like that) and very good located, a few steps from the train station.

I had trouble with a cold room. I brought up my concern, but each time they tell me their system says 25 degree. I compared my room to my neighbor's and their room was warm at 25degree. I asked for change of room ... They commented if changed and it were still cold, not their problem. I had a new room and at 22 degree and it was warm. Very disappointed with attitude.
