My friend and I strongly recommand this hostel. Nice and comfortable bedrooms, big and convenient kitchen. We enjoyed the TV room and living room as well! The owners are nice and really try their best to make you enjoy your stay. Although the location may not be perfect, the metro station very close to the hostel makes it convenient and easily reachable still.

I loved Alma, and I’m coming back for sure. The house is gorgeous, typical Oporto architecture with the huge garden where you can relax and catch some son. The owners are very helpful and sweet. Very recommended!

Perfect hostel. well, if you have tried to find nice hostel in porto, there are some famous hostel already. i will not deny they are good but Alma Porto Hostel is quite good alternative. very quite, nice facility, kind staff and so on. it is satisfying all requirements to be good hostel. only one sad thing is that it is 15 in from city center, but you know that walking is the best way to discover how much porto is lovely city. Walking to hostel is not only to go there but to know the city.

The staff is composed by two very friendly brothers, who are always asking if you are okay and if you need anything. I even spent some time chatting with them about a variety of things, for they are someone I'd have some beers with. The place is very cool, with big bathrooms, hot water, simple but good breakfast, wifi and character (it's a well kept clean old house like the architecture in Porto). One of the warmest hostels I've ever been to.

Fantastic looking house, big dorms/ bathrooms/ kitchen/... living room, reading room, dinning room. Staying there nearly felt like staying in some palace. Close to metro station and supermarket. Walking distance of Batalha bus station. Very clean place too. I didn't get to try the garden because of bad weather but it looked good for nice weather. Very kind and helpfull staff. Computer free of use for guests, large collection of dvds available from reception, good breakfast included in the rate.
