Beautiful location, beautiful hostel. Easy 10 minute walk from train station.

You better be in shape to stay here. I timed the 20 min. walk uphill to the main square, lots of stairs. Only 1 outlet in the 8 room dorm w/no wifi except the common room which only had 2. Costs 7-8 euro for the taxi from the bus/train. The breakfast is good, staff so friendly, beds comfy, they made a fire every night. I think this hostel is overpriced.

Loved my stay at this eco friendly hostel. I had the best time. Wished i could have stayed longer but unfortunately had a flight out of Lisbon. This hostel is unique. Everyone is friendly, helpful and it has a very social atmosphere. Sintra is a great place to visit for a few days and this hostel adds to your Sintra experience.

Unique hostel and wonderfully relaxed. Superb grounds and local hiking possibilities are a real bonus

This hostel was simply perfect. Well-located, in the beautiful Sintra mountains, is only at 20 minut walk from the train station. If you want, you can catch a bus (5 minut ride). The dormitory rooms are exceptionally clean and the common bathroom too. The atmosphere is incredible: the luxurious garden, the hippy syle mood... I hope to come to Almaa Sintra again!

I loved this hostel and it was the icing to the cake during my stay in Sintra. Although it is located a bit of the way, it could not be in a more beautiful location.. surrounded by green hills, fresh produce, and beautiful nature. The rooms are quaint and lovely, and so in the lounge area. There is books to read and fireplaces, creating a warm and spiritual environment. Befriended the staff as well. I couldn't recommend a better place than Almaa Sintra.

Beautiful hostel with really kind staff. I was only here for one night but it felt like returning home. Wonderful buildings and gardens.

It was a most delightful hostel, set in a beautiful and peaceful estate just on the edge of Sintra historical centre. It felt like I was joining in a family gathering, rather than visiting as an unknown guest.

This was the most amazing hostel I have ever stayed at; the staff are very friendly and all speak English very wonderfully. The land surrounding the hostel is really beautiful and the house is located near a really breathtaking palace, the Regaleira; it is really the most perfect setting to enjoy Sintra. It is a very laid back place, very kid and adult friendly, very clean, and a lovely eco-friendly decor. The kitchen is really big, always clean, and available for guest use. It's perfect.

An unusual hostel featuring recycled pallets turned into furniture and a bathtub as a kitchen sink. Walking distance to Sintra historic area. Next door to small cafe with Celtic music 2 nights a week. Limitations on clothes hanging, lights and power sockets in rooms. Beautiful surroundings and very nice staff. Floors noisy in some rooms.
