Wonderful stay:) The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for all the sites I wanted to see. I loved exploring the grounds of the hostel. It was great to be able to escape into nature. The breakfast was excellent. The common rooms were always clean and welcoming. Overall, best hostel in Sintra!

This place is wonderful, beautiful, and very 'eco' feeling. The garden and grounds are lovely and the ambiance is VERY relaxing, as are the beds. Breakfast is simple, but good with fresh jam, butter, granola/cereal, bread, and some fresh fruit. We walked all the way from the hostel to the castle in about 40 minutes and it was easy to find.

we spend four wonderful days at alma sintra hostel. we were traveling with our 4-month-old baby. the staff was very caring to make our stay with the baby as comfortable as possible. it is a great place with a wonderful atmosphere, beautiful garden and with a good concept to make sustainability reality as well as ensuring the social responsibility (as they are working with social projects of the region). this is not a place for a one night stay. take your time, relax and stay a bit longer.

This hostel is really beautiful and magical, I could imagine spending a week here and having a very relaxing time. I did only stay one night and it was great. There was a problem with the heating meaning I had a cold shower but all the positives of staying here overrode the negatives. The free breakfast was fantastic and I loved having time to just wander the beautiful grounds. It is quite hard to get to on foot but it's totally worth it!! Love this hostel and I would definitely stay again!

This hostel was beautiful and spacious with an excellent kitchen and the most gorgeous gardens. The atmosphere was also very friendly and the decorations so pleasant you hardly want to leave. Even in the middle of December we felt warm and cozy by the lovely fireplace in the common room!
