Despite there being a mix-up with our booking we had s great stay during Carnival. Staff looked after us very well. Great location for accessing the beach and Barra Trios.

Great location, friendly staff , relaxed atmosphere, clean facilities! I would consider changing the breakfast a little bit as it was a very light and healthy breakfast, but alot of travellers would be used to something a little heavier. So perhaps provide more things to put in the breads. also, language barrier. Maybe have a phrase book in english/portuguese for the evening staff so that communication is easier.

It wasn't a bad hostel, however I thought it really lacked character, which led to little socialization in the common areas. If you've ever stayed at a really awesome hostel before, you know that what really makes a hostel experience good, is a great atmosphere where you meet lots of cool travelers. I think Alpha should try to facilitate that more. Also, the breakfast was very boring. I recommend serving more variety and better bread, and please some fresh fruit.

I suffered a theft with a gun at 50 meters from de hostel. The staff didnt call the police. The area is quite ugly and dirty. The street of the hostel has people who sleeps there. The internet was not free. That`s difficult to understand because other cheaper places give the service free. The first day the shower broke and my room was full of water. The staff didn\'t speak english, or spanish. Just portuguese. The worst experience in a hostel of my life.

The only thing about the hostel that is really good is the location. The stuff was really unfriendly and not helpful at all! The house is really nice but they need to get better in cleaning. It is kind sad that the atmosphere is so bad because of the stuff! also all the rules what not to do.. (they are everywhere.. ) are not really welcoming at all! They need to change a lot! besides the awesome location!

The breakfast is way to simple, the same everyday. The hostel really wants its guests money. Even for simple service as taking a shower or using an unoccupied locker on the day of departure cost you a half a room rent.
