A bit dull - no real common area. It's great if you just want a quiet place to keep to yourself. The staff were super knowledgeable about things to do in Rio, which was great! Cleanliness good, kitchen, beds fine. Standard.

Pretty good central location in Rio. Most the staff speak english which was very helpful.

We got locked in our room because of a faulty lock, and the first thing the moment we got released the office staff did is try not only to charge us for the lock, but also move us from a private room into a dorm room without even giving us any discount. Thankfully the only sane person there is the cleaning lady which had enough culture and reason to offer us another private room. And if you argue that the hostel is booked and we're the only couple stayin there. Please stop. You just look stupid.

Hi Michal Who were you locked in the room, broke the key 2 in the morning, we went to his room and tried to open . Then early we call a locksmith to open the door. Do not CHARGE anything for it, just said it broke again would you have to pay. You just pay what is broken, or do you think not? I go to a store, break some things and go out of there without paying, no, I think not. It has nothing to do with culture. Hostel is NOT your HOME and here are rules that must be respected. You should stop complaining for something nonexistent and revise your concepts of culture that go much below a person with culture.
