Hostel was dirty. Toilet paper bins not cleared in 5 days.

The place is dark, and with no real common room to hang out in. There are lockers outside the rooms. There was one working shower for the whole hostel while we were there, located in the men's bathroom (poor girls...). The location is smack-dab in central Botafogo, with subway and supermarket very close. The staff was AMAZING, especially Lucy! She brought the mood up every time she was there, and often she was the heart and spirit of the place. Loads of good advice, suggestions and tips.

it's a nice hostel, but the breakfast was really bad.

Notice. you can NOT USE WI-Fi with your iPhone. it seems permanent problem of the machine and they won't change it. Cleanliness in bed room was OK. but old. Kitchen is not good. was not clean and hotel staff use there to bake cake for breakfast. Breakfast is shabby. and kitchen is open up to 10pm. Rio is expensive, so it's affordable here. Good location. It is safe and canteen is close to the hotel. but I will stay in Copacabana area next time.
