It's a bad hotel but a good hostel. You can get better value for your money in Jlan Jaksa: we moved there after 2 days at Alpine Hotel.

Quite nice rooms, good but cold breakfast. Alltogether a good standard as hostel but a very poor standard when booking as hotel (as it is).

What fantastic value for money. This is a business hotel with porter service, water machines in the xorridors, maid service, breakfast included etc. We found the staff to be very friendly and welcoming. All the taxi drivers know the Alpine so you won\'t have any problems finding the place. We walked to the national monumnet in about 30 minutes (navigating Jakarta involves nerves of steel mind you!) I would recommend Alpine Hotel for your stay in Jakarta.
