Great experience in Split, and this hostel is the reason. Al is really nice (so is the rest of the staff) and I met great people ! In the old city and close to a grocery store.

The hostel is greatly located. We did not see much of the owner but staff were new and very helpful with every questions. There is a kitchen and this is also device free place so here people get talking with other guests which is nice if you are alone. Beds are comfortable and have lockers in room. I liked it and stayed more nights

For a plae to sleep this hostel is fine, we met some awesome people there which made our stay but outside of that- Al is quite hard to work around, he is sometimes just not there in which case you can't check in and if you call him he will just say you need to wait until he can get there.. He did say he was trying to find an assistant when we were there so maybe that will be better now. The kitchen is also very ill equipt and Al has some particular rules about the use of electronics ect.

Great little place near some very good bars and a few local style and cheap restaurants. We got a load of info from the owner on arrival about Split. There was also some food festival thing going on i na nearby park. I stayed two more days longer cos it was easy to meet up with ppl here. Didn't see much of the owner except one time we all went out for dinner together and met up with the him later in his local. Would easy recommend this place

Al's great, a very entertaining and knowledgable chap and his hostel is a really nice place to stay, right in the centre of the old town. One of the dorms was still being redecorated when I was there but should be ready for end of May/June 2015. Only downside: would have liked to have had some basic free stuff like tea, coffee and milk, especially as other hostels gave me free beer and rakia!

Ticks all the boxes, would stay again. Interesting people and stories about Cambodia from Al

Great place, great location. Split is a really beautiful place for a short visit. Cafes, bars and good eating places right in this really old town like 500 years old or something with no traffic. On the waterfront you have a fantastic view out to sea and very good coffee for about £1. The hostel was really east friendly place and only 5 of us there so we all hung out together.
