Amadeus Hostel Berlin Reviews

Security not good. 2 mobile phones stolen as I slept. 2 people extra in the room. Security codes not changed for it seems weeks, allowing thiefs to walk in get a free room and steal due to management negligence. Seems more like a squat than anything else. (Why pay good money to be robbed a hotel could be cheaper). Inadequate passport checks. They do not seem to have permanent staff. The ONE hostel where I am now should give them a lesson in how to run a hostel properly, with proper security.

MIGHT JUST BE ME , BUT HAD TROUBLE GETTING PHONE TO USE THE WIFI SYSTEM.

The staff was rude and we had booked a room for 11.99 euros but once arrived they gave us a room for 14.99 euros because they said we arrived too late (although we had told them beforehand, and they has said it was no problem). we HAD TO pay the extra money for the room. they promised that we would be alone; however, once in the room we noticed that we were not... It is also really noisy in the hostel and the police was there in the morning because of some problems!

The room was dirty all the time since the arrival. Bathrooms and showers are not well equipped. The building smelt. There were not wireless connection in the rooms just in the lobby. Our room's door was damaged, so it was insecure.

The hostel was very strange,the reception is in the middle of the sidewalk and the rooms are in a very old building in front of him.The building is not unique to the hostel, which makes it very unsafe and unpleasant,there\'re a lot of people there.The reception should be 24h/day,but to check out at 7am I had to wait until 7:50 in the cold until a woman arrived to open the reception,almost missed my train.The bathroom is dirty and the shower is tiny.Our stay there was very bad near all the others.

The interior of the house looked next to derelict, the dark corridors were confusing, signage was poor, the carpet coming loose and not very clean, sheets were clean but worn, mattresses were showing. The room was bleak and ice-cold when we arrived - which was fixed rather quickly, once we informed the reception, but we still got a comment, that our room was warmer than some others anyways - not something you say to freezing guests! No warm water at the sinks, so I didn't dare try the shower.

Ich habe schon viele Hostels besucht, in Europa wie auch Australien und Neuseeland, aber ich habe mich noch nie so unwohl in einem Hostel gefühlt wie in diesem. Lange dunkle Gänge, keine Fenster, muffiger Teppich, ein Zimmer mit einer Eisentür verschlossen, ein Treppenhaus mit Gittern, ein Fahrstuhl und Treppenhaus, in dem man sich sofort unwohl fühlt.Dieses Hostel ist definitiv nichts für allein reisende Frauen.
