Amanpuri seems to cater largely for big overland tour groups, but I found that it suited me well as a single traveller. They are very good at what they do, and they don't try to do -everything-...which I think is wise. I didn't find the common areas particularly welcoming or conducive to socializing, but the place is clean, well-run, well-managed, excellent value, secure, with a great breakfast included and free wireless internet. Also very comfortable matresses and nicely furnished rooms.
More a cheap B&B than a backpackers hostel. The price was a little high for the dorm rooms, and the lack of a kitchen would be a drawback for those on the budget. That said, the place was very clean, the staff were excellent and a cooked breakfast was included, so you could see where your extra cash was going.
all together nice but a bad thing that smoking was allowed and common in the common room
Staff is fantastic. Naomi and the rest of the staff are superb at what they do. Very helpful and very warming. I highly recommend Amanpuri. Facilities are clean, breakfast is good, and they offer many tours and advice for every type of person.
Nice place, lots of interesting people, good bar, great breakfast, spotless rooms. A bit expensive though for a dorm bed, and no self-cooking facilities available. Wifi is free and good reception everywhere. All in all, I'd recommend it if it wasn't for the price.
Fantastic accomodations, excellent and helpful staff that were able to assist us in planning and booking activities within Swakop. Main complaint were the other (drunken) guests, and that the staff did nothing to quiet or calm them. But would definitely recommend for friends and stay there again.
Good for a quick stay, free wireless, good breakfast, 10min walk from city center. Secure parking and friendly staff. However, nothing special and maybe a bit pricy

Very new, Nice and clean, Not right in the centre of town but most would be travelling by car. Wifi worked well and the breakfast was good.
Awesome breakfast and good vibes ;-) Most comfortable hostel beds ever...
The morning staff is great, but it was often hard to get in at night.
Nice, new-ish place not far from the center of town - the dorm beds are very comfy! Rates include a great free breakfast. Was hardly anybody there when I stayed.
Place is OK, Was empty when I was there, they let us to have room next to our fully packed car. suberb
ANTS ANTS ANTS everywhere so as long as you dont eat or drink in your room you should be fine...they have wifi and activities can be booked easily at the front. SWAK\'s a small town everything is within a decent walking distance oh and pretty decent breakfast was served.
