Good guest house in a quiet area within walking distance to khaosan road and ferry. Nice roof terrace, which we were the only people using. Free computer and internet access came in handy. Staff was nice. Towels and linen weren't clean but not disgusting either. Good value for money.
Close to Khao San Road, but located at the end of a dodgy lane, not easy to spot. They barely understand a word of English. WiFi not working. The room was awful: toilet small and stinks of mold, the mattress was terribly hard, the walls thinner than paper. Last but not least, you'll be waken up every morning at 5 by a muslin singing loud on the speakers, and repeatedly during the day.
The owner advised he'd given us a bigger room for cheaper but we got the room we paid for for the price we chose on hostelworld.
Great place to stay on a budget and if you want to be near Khao san road, but away from the chaos! Very friendly start are more than happy to help you for getting around Bangkok unaided by a Tuk Tuk (who will take you on a wild goose chase for fuel stamps). Just outside there is a bus stop which is great for getting to China Town, and close to the river ferry too.
