Felt pretty bad for the birds stuck there that can't fly...
Very unfriendly staff, they lost my reservation. Lots of Israeli groups are staying there and they make a lot of noise. Rooms are very small and not very clean.
I read some mixed reviews about this place... It's honestly fine! It has a massive pool that was being cleaned the day we arrived - looks like they only keep it half full when it's not busy but still ok. We had a private room and it was clean although there was no soap. The staff don't really speak English but we got what we needed from them. It's close to everything as Rurre is so small. Water was hot on the first day and just warm on the second. Breakfast is the usual white bum with jam.

Arrived at hostel and checked in with no communication or welcome from staff at all. We booked because of the pool but this was filthy and we were not answered when we asked if out of order. Room was pretty dirty too but they did have hot showers.
Had a bad experience here. There are 2 boys(staff...) walking around that are more concerned with their own looks than the well being of the customers. If you want a clean place to stay for good value go to: el curichal hostel. Avoid this place!
The coolest thing about this hostel were the toucans and the macaw that live here. The staff weren't very friendly, there was language barrier but a smile would've gone a long way. The rooms weren't very clean and it wasn't the cheapest of hostels. We went else where after our tour.
