would not stay here again. Booking wasnt available on arrival, made to wait over an hour before we being told where to sleep in more exp room. Door didn't shut, no toilet seat or paper, no shower head and the air con broke. Agreed price to stay in room, however stuff moved while out to another room by other owner, owner rude when explained we couldnt speak much Spanish and could understand why moved. Forgot to book our transfer. Only good thing was young male staff member who tried best to help

It was a wonderful place to stay. i was there for a total of 4 nights and then 1 more night before i had to fly home. It\'s a wonderful family that runs Amber. They went out of their way to help me while I was in Cartagena. I am so thankful that I was able to meet such a great family.

Really cool hostel. Not a whole lot other than a kitchen and a place to sleep, but beds are comfortable and rooms are decent. No lockers inside the rooms, just small ones in the common area. Also, the aircon is only on for a bit at night, but they will turn it on if you ask. Really good location in the Getsemani district, close to sightseeing and a quick walk to great night life.

Arrived for 2 nights and stayed for a week. Great location, everything you need within a couple of blocks and if you fancy tourist heaven the old town is only 5 minutes walk. Perfect. No toilet seat in our room hence only good on facilities.

Arrived and hostel was over booked and tyere was no room for us on our first night, hence the low score on 'atmosphere'. The landlady was very helpful though and toom us to her sisters hostel for the night, which was just around the corner.

Amber hostal was great! Just what I expected. When I walked in I felt like I was at home. The owner was cooking and her kids were hanging out. I felt like everyone was helpful. The owner would book our tours and our bus tickets in advance. Very kind women.

Really friendly staff. Beds felt like a pile of cardboard and pillow was chunky, but we surprisingly slept well enough. Neighborhood isn't that nice, but hostel is steps away from good restaurants / bars and a short walk to the old town. For the price, not bad.

This is nice family run hostel, but when You arrive it appears that You pay more than stated. I booked 6th bed dorm, stayed in 8th for two nights and payed like for 6th. Do not choose 8-bed dorm with bathroom inside. You can hear (and smell) everything, which gives an impression that you are sleeping with your head in a loo...

I enjoyed my stay here for two nights. I was able to relax and it was very quiet which is what I prefer over the party places. The staff was exceptionally helpful with whatever I asked for and just genuinely kind so I felt very comfortable there. It\'s close to everything there is to see.
